And the French, "cheese-eating surrender monkeys" as Jonah Goldberg calls them

That's originally a line from one Homer J. Simpson.

"We must have asassination squads and pay huge bounties to whomever is capable of getting these guys. The killing must be wholesale, non-stop, and world wide."

Yup. You are 100% correct.

The FRENCH had this guy and did nothing????!!!!!
I do believe that is what I heard when this gent was profiled as part of a
Sixty Minutes II episode maybe a month or two ago.

Note the following passage:
David Jacobsen was one of a dozen Americans and Frenchmen kidnapped in Beirut in the 1980s by Mugniyeh and his pro-Iranian militiamen.

Jacobsen appeared on the segment and the CBS interviewer asked him what he'd do if he
met this terrorist again.
Now bear in mind, that IIRC, Jacobsen was a school/university administrator,
sort of an academic type.

I was shocked...but also educated...when Jacobsen calmly but forcefully said:
"I would dis-embowel him with my own hands".

Dubya, Rumsfeld, and Co. are right when they say this war is going to go on
for years. This is the kind of evil power we are up against.

You misunderstand. I'm 1000% behind the Ashcanistan campaign. I simply think this piece is highly instructive as regards how difficult it is to nail these bastards and how good they are at what they do.

Luckily for his intended victims, he failed Bomb-making 101. While mixing his deadly
brew in an East Jerusalem hotel room, Mikdad blew off his lower body.

HE BLOWED UP!
HE BLOWED UP REAL GOOD!

Sorry I don't have the John Candy + Joe Flaherty photo from Second City TV for this.
Wonder if this peckerwood had time to say "Oops".
I don't wish violence on folks, but this is choice!

Yep, I know the line comes from Homer. But Jonah has made it a mantra and put it on the map. It is true that quotes tend to migrate. Most people think "Why don't you come up and see me sometime" is a Mae West quote. Originally it was said not BY her but TO her, by W.C. Fields, in the closing scene of My Little Chickadee,

Bin Laden first met Mugniyeh in 1993, according to his former chief of security, Ali Mohammad. In a plea agreement entered on Oct. 20, 2000, in the Southern District of New York for his involvement in the U.S. Embassy bombings in Africa, Mohammad acknowledges that he "arranged security" for the meeting that took place while bin Laden was living in the Sudan. Mohammad said Mugniyeh's Hezbollah group "provided explosives training for al-Qaeda and al-Jihad," the two groups most closely tied to bin Laden. "Iran supplied Egyptian Jihad with weapons. Iran also used Hezbollah to supply explosives that were disguised to look like rocks."

An earlier affidavit by FBI Agent Daniel Coleman, based on information provided former members of al-Qaeda, reported that bin Laden personally exhorted his followers to "put aside [their] differences with Shiite Muslim terrorist organizations, including the government of Iran and its affiliated terrorist group Hezbollah, to cooperate against the perceived common enemy, the United States and its allies."

Mugniyeh and Iran go way back, and their close association disturbs some analysts at the U.S. State Department, which is trying to rehabilitate the regime of Iranian President Mohammad Khatami. "There is no evidence that Mugniyeh was one of the planners of the Sept. 11 attacks," a State Department official tells Insight. "In fact, there is evidence to the contrary."

Hmmmmmm....

Its the state sponsorship that allows scum like him to operate, and the Iranians aren't long for this world. They are ripe to be overthrown, and without funding, safe passage and a steady stream of armaments to train with, they are going to be cornered rats.Lets get the DEA Intelligence folks to snoop him out;they would have better ground intelligence than the CIA, and probably have more nasties on the payroll to get the dirt on him.He may seem like a genius, but his world has changed since 9/11, and he has few friends left.

Go read Bodansky's book on Bin Laden.
Bodansky lays it on Iran, not Iraq. He says Iran is the real national enabler of Al Qaeda  Islamic terrorism

Gosh billy! I don't know how some people have been able to get back to "normal" so quickly...especially when snakes like these are roaming about seeking whom they may devour.
(big chill just went down my spine)
