SILENT NIGHT - A Beautiful Poem for FReepers Everywhere
Charleston Radio Station ^ | 12/18/01 | unk

TO FREEPERS EVERYWHERE: Someone sent this to me by email. It's on the website of a Charleston, SC radio station HERE . It is so much better if you go to this site so you can listen to the music and the reading as you follow along. It is beautiful.

Silent Night

You say you will never forget where you were when you heard the news on September 11, 2001.

Neither will I.

I was on the 110th floor in a smoke filled room with a man who called his wife to say, "Good-bye."

I held his fingers steady as he dialed

I gave him the peace to say, "Honey, I am not going to make it, but it is OK...I am ready to go."

I was with his wife when he called as she fed breakfast to their children.

I held her up as she tried to understand his words and as she realized he wasn't coming home that night.

I was in the stairwell of the 23rd floor when a woman cried out for Me for help. "I have been knocking on the door of your heart for 50 years!" I said, "Of course I will show you the way home - only believe in Me now."

I was at the base of the building with the Priest ministering to the injured and devastated souls. I took him home to tend to his Flock in Heaven. He heard my voice and answered.

I was on four of those planes, in every seat, with every prayer. I was with the crew as they were overtaken. I was in the very hearts of the believers there, comforting and assuring them that their faith has saved them.

I was in Texas, Kansas, London. I was standing next to you when you heard the terrible news. Did you sense Me?

I want you to know that I saw every face. I knew every name - though not all know Me. Some met me for the first time on the 86th floor.

Some sought Me with their last breath.

Some couldn't hear Me calling to them through the smoke and flames; "Come to Me...this way...take My hand." Some chose, for the final time, to ignore Me.

But, I was there.

I did not place you in the tower that day. You may not know why, but I do. However, if you were there in that explosive moment in time, would you have reached for Me?

September 11, 2001 was not the end of the journey for you. But someday your journey will end. And I will be there for you as well. Seek Me now while I may be found. Then, at any moment, you know you are "ready to go."

I will be in the stairwell of your final moments.

Remember...I love you.

>I was in the stairwell of the 23rd floor...

Thanks for the bump.  It is amazing to see this apostate pablum passed around and people devour it.  People should read their Bibles instead!

There are seven (7) questions below in v. 3-6 and the answer to every one is NO!  That includes v. 6.

Am 3:3  Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
4 Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing?
5 Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all?
6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
8 The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy?

Ro 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

Ec 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Based on the premise that 1. God is all seeing, all knowing, and all powerful. 2. Men have the freedom to choose, and God respects that and waits for us to ask before he intervenes. 3. Satan is real and can gain power over us.

I believe that anyone that has not gained a personal realtionship with our Father in heaven, and does not pray on a daily basis and ask God for what they need, may have bad things happen. I do not believe that God makes bad things happen, however I do believe he withdraws and allows the course of nature and Satan take over. He withdraws because he believes that man must first have faith, second repent and third ask for him to be in their lives. "Faith precedes Miracles."

Any of us having children, should know how hard it is to stand back and allow your children to make their own decisions and/or mistakes. Only helping your children when they ask for your help or opinion. We all realize though, that if we do not allow them to make their own decisions/mistakes, they will never grow up and become happy responsible citizens.

If we are made in the image of God, we must then assume that it is just as hard for him to stand back and let nature take its cours and see us hurting when we reap the consequences of our actions.

If faith and blessings increase exponentially, it would follow that consequences would do the same in a negative direction.

One thing that is comforting, is that no matter what, God will forgive us, as long as we repent.

These are "as in the days of Noe."  In those days, the whole world was wicked and only 8 souls were saved and the rest destroyed in Judgment.  Judgment BEGINS at the house of God.  God did not comfort the residents of Sodom when the fire fell.  Esau was not comforted and did not find repentance.  See Heb. 6.  See also Prov. 1:20-33.

Mt 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
