Daschle Christmas Vacation watch
Fox - Hannity & Colmes | 12-20-01 | Self

Posted on 12/20/2001 5:50:04 PM PST by det dweller too

After watching Newt & Sean discussing how Daschle, [$175K/yr] and wife [$250K/yr] will have a wonderful christmas while he single-handedly stopped the economic stimulus package from coming to a vote that would pass, I got an idea. How about starting a Daschle-watch over the holidays. We'll need freeper helpers from his home state to give us updates on how much enjoyment they are having while the rest of the country sloggs through the misery of a dull economy. We are not little kids and we can survive this crappy period, but the contrast would really get people to see what kind of person Daschle is; that he would rather see all the citizens of this country suffer through hard times just to maintain political advantage for his party.

I think that's Gephardt that has the house on the coast of one of the Carolina's.

Prior to leaving for "recess" with the other children Senate Majority leader Tom Daschle takes a moment to speak to reporters atop his stack of telephone books: Hey, I'm rich, I'll have a great retirement and we want the economy to tank! Oops! I meant to say "I'm disappointed that the Republicans FILL IN THE BLANK HERE yadda yadda yadda".

I thought Daschle's wife was a Federal employee. She got some kind og sinecure from Clinton. How can she be making $ 250K?

The left, all 18 liberal socialists, Clinton, Dashel, Schumer, that group, claimed that if the individual took the money given them and bought their own insurance, they would not be able to get all the breaks that the government can get them because of their purchasing power, and that a tax break for the families was not the way to go.

Dear South Dakotans......

While on your watch, would you please check and see if little tommie's assistants are still carrying his "soapbox" for him?

I've been waiting all night to use this thing!

I like this idea a lot, Howlin!! Thanks for flagging me!!

We need to track his EVERY move! It doesn't matter where he goes, we can say things like this:

While 450,000 Americans have lost their jobs, Tom Daschle is in Aspen, skiing.

While 450,000 Americans have lost their jobs, Tom Daschle is at a Hollywood fundraiser, eating caviar.

While 450,000 Americans are out of work, Tom Daschle has left the country on a taxpayer-funded trip.

While 450,000 Americans are out of work, Tom Daschle is hiding in his South Dakota home.

See how well this works? No matter where he goes, we pin the unemployment on him and his lack of action, all the while showing he is not doing the people's business!! We MUST do this! I am going to start tracking his schedule. I am sure some of it is on USNewswire or his own website. He is ALWAYS bragging about press "opportunities."

THIS WILL WORK!

Not only that, but we could issue little statements every day and flag RADIO people, who could report on where he is!! I am thinking this would work!!

Love it!

Hound the guy.

NOBODY ever does this to Democrats, and they have NO DEFENSE for it. They have no comeback. It's not in the handbook. Public scrutiny of Democrats so rarely happens, that when it does, they cave immediately, just like...Republicans. (Well, it's true.) Daschle never in his life has felt political heat from the actual PUBLIC, i.e. VOTERS. I say it's time he did!

(The one caveat I have is that I do not buy into the notion that America needs Daschle or anyone else in DC to "save" the economy. But that is really beside the point of the necessity for Daschle to be held accountable.) I say, GO TO IT!

Well, of course I realize that the economy functions quite well without the government. That is not the point. They are hoping they can hang this recession on W. I say that we have now been given the opportunity to hang it on the democrats, with Daschle as their flag-bearer!

I am now off to search schedules! I hope to have the first edition ready tomorrow!

As I said. We agree.

OK. No schedule on his website (which is really amateurish and difficult to navigate.) Nothing on USNewswire. I need help on where to look for schedules. I know the Senate is still in session tomorrow, but I thought surely there would be something. I am NOT going to let this weasel sneak out of town!

Of course, if we can't find him, we could then say...

450,000 people have lost their jobs, and WHERE IS TOM DASCHLE?

This is the all-purpose statement!! LOLOL!!
