LONDON (Reuters) - Osama bin Laden (news - web sites), the world's most wanted man, said on a video broadcast by al-Jazeera satellite television on Wednesday that the September 11 suicide attacks were intended to stop U.S. support for Israel.
``Our terrorism against the United States is worthy of praise to deter the oppressor so that America stop its support for Israel, which is killing our children,'' the bearded, Saudi-born fugitive said.
He added that the tape was being issued to mark about three months since the attacks on New York and Washington and two months after the United States began its bombing of Afghan targets.
The remarks indicated the tape was recorded in early to mid December.
Looking tired but calm, bin Laden was dressed in a clean, camouflage-patterned combat jacket. He sat against a cloth or canvas screen, his Russian-designed submachinegun propped beside him. There was no indication where he was when he recorded the video.
Both Osama- and Israel-firsters are un-American, because they don't have American interests first.

Bin laden has made it very clear that three things bug him-1. US support for Israel.
2. US troops in saudi Arabia.
3. US sanctions against Iraq.
Yet some people insist on playing amateur psychoanalyst and claiming that his motivation is something else. Go figure.
So close, but so "no cigar".
The problem is not that we don't know what bugs the bastard. The problem is that there are those who would have us accept the lie that the way to deal with the bastard is to stop doing what bugs him.
The way to deal with a bastard like bint Ladin is to kill him, and to kill everyone who takes up the standard for him, and to keep killing them until they're no longer a threat.
The idea that we need to appease the bastard (and make no mistake, that's exactly what the "we need to find out what bugs him and then stop doing it" mantra boils down to) is nothing more than a way to encourage the bastard to push us even further.
If we stop doing the "three things that bug him" today, he'll come up with ten new things that bug him tomorrow, because he'll know he's got us trained to do his bidding. You don't appease a bully -- not unless you enjoy being bullied, of course.
It's really quite amusing to hear a Russian immigrant with racialist leanings mumble about "un-american". How much is this the vodka bleating, maddie, and how much are you connected with the Russian naz... oops.. nationalists?

I will be the first to say that America's foriegn policy is suverely screwed up.....but we cannot be an island unto ourselves. Israel is the ONLY democratic goverment in the region and deserve our support.
Great Powers do not allow hirsute scarecrows to dictate their foreign policy. We simply cannot afford to capitulate to a terrorist's demands or there will be no end to the terrorism directed against us.
