How Do We Destroy Political Correctness In America.
1 FELLOW FREEPER | 12/27/2001 | I FELLOW FREEPER.

Posted on 12/27/2001 8:37:31 AM PST by 1 FELLOW FREEPER

Political correctness has become a scourge on the American landscape. Every day, some alert freeper posts at least one story whereby some individual or organization brazenly strips someones rights under the guise of "diversity", or alleged racism, or ersatz interpretation of the Constitution. Our universities, our state and federal bureauocracies, national news media and Hollywood have all surrendered in one way or another to this terrorism.

We have some of the best minds in the country posting here, so I thought what better place to find the "cure" than to solicit my fellow freepers. After all, it will be up to people like ourselves to stop this insideous onslaught of mind control.

How Do We Destroy Political Correctness In America.

Simple .. tellthemtobiteyourass .. lol

No seriously .. the ONLY way is to educate people .. most of the American People have NOOOO Idea what is going on cause they listen the losers like Dan, Peter and Tom

The Internet was not big back before the 92 election .. and the Media knew all about Clinton's background and history .. I am sure if the Media had only reported half of it .. he would never have been elected ..

I myself .. whenever I see a good article or investigation of sorts .. I passed it along to all my liberal friends .. at first they laughed me off .. but did I give up NO WAY .. and now they are starting to see what I have been talking about all this time

The only way to end this PC crap is that WE THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES stand up and take our country back .. Educated anyone who will listen and if they don't .. be patient ..give it time .. they'll start to come around .. and if not .. they are a lost cause ..

Transparency. That's what Shelby Steele said in an article earlier this year in the WSJ. Liberal ideas have gained transparency in this country, meaning that concepts such as "pro-choice", or "gaiety" as synonynms for abortion and pederasty respectively, roll of the tongues of liberals and conservatives with equal ease. (Check this very forum for proof!) These are concepts, I repeat, not mere monickers, and as such are most insidious. Transparency means the average person accepts certain ideas without a question or doubt, like mom's apple pie.

Steele suggested that in order for conservatives to make progress they have to make their own ideas transparent. How, I don't know...

so who would have been your choice for POTUS????

Perhaps you have entertained the idea that none of the people who ran was his choice?

Conservatives are often afraid to speak up:
1. For preserving American culture and opposing uncontrolled immigration (mostly illegal) for the fear of being called racist.
2. For oppositing affirmative action and all kinds of discrimination for the fear of being called racist.
3. Against the interventionist foreign policy and foreign entanglements for the fear of being called unpatriotic, anti-semitic etc.

I am sure the list is incomplete

We must UNDO the liberal bastardization of the english language, for starters. Make them explain racism, sexism, and homophobia....most of the jerks cannot define even one of them intellectually.

Very good. I for one, am not the least bit afraid to speak my mind in public about these matters. But I fear that you are correct about the cowardice of many conservatives(present company excluded, of course).

We must UNDO the liberal bastardization of the english language,

Absolutely correct. Whenever I get a chance, I recommend George Orwell's essay "Politics and the English Language', as fresh today as it was when it was written in the 1940s. (It's available many places on the Web. Just Google it!)

But again, note that the disease has infected us all. See the rules of the forum for "racism", see the frequent racism threads and arguments, they are not about the existence of this malady, that concept, sad to say, is taken for granted, it is transparent. (I maintain that "racism" is a liberal invention, and an obnoxious term for the natural phenomenon of ethnocentrism, intended to suggest Dr Mengele, the Nazis and such.) And that is the disease we share with the liberals, and will continue to do so, until we start ridiculing the whole idea of"racism", until we demand explanations and definitions.

Good thought on Transparency. I've been harping here at FR for years that the language is being co-opted by the radical left, and that good old fashioned marketing techniques are the only way to redirect the language in our favor. Market common sense.

It seems silly, but if we put the same young smartasses to work on this campaign as they do on the Stop Big Tobacco ad campaign, the dominant culture would come into line with the post 9/11 reality. Trust me when I say that marketing men come in all political stripes. The lamestream media is months behind the public opinion curve. A few well placed zingers on TV will have enormous effect. This is the advice I send frequently to the RNC, and they don't respond.

This is a reality based solution.

I didn't say it would be easy ... was it easy back in 1776 when those brave men fought off the British .. heck no

WE THE PEOPLE need to stand up and fight back ..
Example being .. The Lord's Prayer before a football game .. they PC Police may be able to stop the School from saying it .. but they can't stop the people attending it from saying it .. Freedom of Speech you know .. I mean what are they going to do .. put us all in jail for saying a prayer ... if you ask me .. that is not very good PR

Or like that town that banned Santa .. and then hundred of Santa's showed up .. Putting Santa in jail is also not very good PR .. I mean .. how are they going to explain it to the children .. huh???

or when the Sorelosermans tried to steal the election last year .. it was WE THE PEOPLE who stood up and fought back .. that blew the Media totally away .. why .. because Conservative don't normally Protest like they did then

We have to start somewhere .. and it may be small little things at first .. but if you don't start .. how can you change things and get our country back on the right track .. When you get down to it .. it's really not a Dem or Repub. thing .. it's a matter of right and wrong ..

You are right, agreeing to the rules of the game designed to put you on defensive, is tantamount to losing.

I think the strategy employed by the republicans and all the "compassionate" conservatives in general is not wise. Instead of preserving the conservative ideals as the core of their ideology, they compromise in the hope of attracting some undecided votes, while gradually undermining their traditional voters and most importantly eroding conservative ideals.

3. Call PC by it's real name, "Hate Speech", at every opportunity.

Let's start here: Next Christmas season, whenever you are confronted with a "Happy Holidays" (especially at the point in time when both Ramadan and Chanakah (eek-sp?) have concluded), look the greeter straight in they eye and say, with a smile, Merry Christmas.

If a comment is made about it, look at them seriously (keep a straight face please) and ask if they would like you to recommend some sensitivity classes for them to help cope with their obvious problem of being intolerant of other people's religious views.

Do it over and over. Smile --- Merry Christmas. That's right, be subversive next December, wish someone a Merry Christmas.

We must use the techniques that have been so successful for the left. For instance, the left has continuously claimed all tax cuts are for the rich, and the Republicans sit on their hands, frowning like a bunch of castrated geeks !!!!

"term limits"

I am all for term limits, primarily because of conservative incompetence and intransigence.
