Otherwise, we were going to kick down their door.. hold them at gunpoint and smash their toilet with a hammer.. That's a viable alternative?

This way.. we get the goods if they flush them and it's much more "public" Tax Dollars ya know..

It depends .. here, in Rural America no way.

You can sever my sewer line without affectng my neighbors.

NOW, reparing it might affect them.. So you had better be sure when you break it..

It's a simple question..

No it's not, as is demonstrated by the fact that you have to keep adding detail to the question.

Perhaps after this you'll know better than to direct an non-specific question to a group of engineers.

Nah...too complicated. I propose a return to the open sewers of old Europe. Great flowing channels of raw sewage. Easy to access and inspect. Small price to pay for guarding the integrity of our Precious Bodily Fluids.

and ramming a blade into your sewer line. severing it... they could analize the contents

If it's in the sewer line, there's a better than even chance that many of the the contents have already been "analized".

I will make it real simple..

Can I, slide up in a truck.. of your own design.. No limits except those imposed by technology..

AND, ram a blade.. or some type of a seperator through a PVC or CLAY Sever Pipe in about a minute?

Yep with addicts looking through the sewage for their next hit. Hey a Libertarian paradise.

No limits except those imposed by technology.

The answer is yes, most of the time, depending on the soil and location of the pipe.

Now, why would anyone want to do this?

I can weld an 8' length of steel to the nose of a B-1 and power-dive it into the ground.

The sad thing is that your solution would be more cost-effective that the WOD as currently practiced.

So.. I don't have the justification to break down your door, put a gun in your face.. and possibly shoot you if you breathe "wrong"

(And I will define "wrong")

That's the point.. Catch the bad guy's.. and still knock on the door politely.

Once again, the answer is no. And how would you retrieve the contents without digging down to it anyway? Also how would you know where the sewer pipe is? At my house, it's in the back yard on a slant and it shows up on the wrong place on my survey. OTOH, sewer lines are rarely 8' down.

As for the "War on Drugs", how would this keep the police from illegally seizing private property without a warrant or an established crime?

Sure

A hydraulic pier drill (mounted to the chassis of the truck) could give you an 8' hole in less than a minute - right through the PVC or clay pipe. Then you could jump into the hole and, with your trusty sledge hammer, drive any size steel plate you want into the exposed ends of the pipe.
By the way, you won't have to design the truck. You can rent one at the same place Tim McVeigh got his

Why not just use nuclear bombs first, then you can screen the ash after it cools.

Are you trying to catch the druggies without knocking on their door?
