Removed agent honorable: Bush
Daily Telegraph (Australia) ^ | 08jan02

US President George W. Bush is sceptical about American Airlines' claim that it removed an Arab-American agent in Bush's security team from a plane for being "hostile".

"I know the man, I am most appreciative of his service to me and my wife. He is an honorable fellow," Bush said.

"I would be surprised if he was hostile."

The US Secret Service, which is responsible for presidential security, said in late December it had launched an inquiry into why the agent, headed to Texas to protect a holidaying Bush, was removed from the aircraft.

The agent, speaking through his lawyers, said he was barred from the Baltimore (Maryland) to Dallas (Texas) flight because of his ethnicity, amid fears sparked by the September 11 terrorist strikes.

"If he was mistreated because of his ethnicity, I'm going to be plenty hot. That means angry," Bush said.

But he added: "I wasn't there, so it's hard for me to comment on something which I did not see."

If he is so honorable, why did he go running to CAIR and get a lawyer instead of letting his superiors handle the matter quietly? CAIR is a well known apologist organization for terrorist groups such as HAMAS.

Not to change the subject, but when the Sept. 11th attacks occurred, wasn't there some comment about Air Force One being the next target to be attacked? I remember some comments on the news being made that these terrorists had the "code" names for Air Force One and no one knew how that was possible. All of a sudden, you never heard one more word about this. Any comments, Freepers?

Exactly.  Pilots need to be immunized against such harassment.

It is the captian's plane.

So, alternately, a minority captain could kick a white guy off the plane and you'd have no problem. Right?

Not sure.

But my guess is, the guy's so honorable that he's taking this career-trashing step on behalf of all the other Arab-Americans getting railroaded, who don't have the profile to get their complaints heard?

..another minority woose...

Right.

Secret Service agent, on the Presidential detail, personally vouched for by Mr Bush.

A, 'minority woose.'

Lucky for you there's no IQ profiling before you board FR, Leisler.

Not sure.

Lol. Here's a question which I'm not sure of. It seems CAIR was involved in this at a very, very early point. Question: at what point in time did CAIR have knowledge of this affair?

Oh don't worry. Any Arab that feels even slightly hassled will get their complaints heard, and widely aired, with just a quick phonecall to CAIR. Who is complaining for the rest of us who are hassled because of what the ARAB MUSLIMS did on 9/11?

--interesting point. There certainly seems to be some indications of high level connected traitors involved in US governmental "employment", doesn't there? Starting to *look* that way....

Bush needs to back off of this issue. He hasn't flown coach in awhile or gone through airport security lately.

His dad hadn't gone grocery shopping either and the bar code scanner he saw at check-out showed how out of touch he was with everyday life.

With the feds sending out unspecified alerts every few weeks and idiots with exploding shoes running around, airport security will be tight, it will be racially profiled (unfortunately) and it should have no exceptions.

SOME Arab Muslims. Nineteen, to be exact. Dead, to be absolutely precise.

But the point here is, why should conservatives support collective guilt in this? We don't like it when the libdems try to smear all gunowners with the evil of Columbine, for instance. So why should all Arabs be personally responsible for Al-Qaeda?

It might not be a "career-trashing step" if (thus far, at least) he has the support of the President.

Nonetheless, why not goto CAIR? It's an advocacy organization, well versed in speaking out on behalf of Islamic Americans.

When Denny's treated a bunch of black Secret Service agents shabbily, they didn't quietly let it go. They filed a suit, and eventually Denny's had to clean up its act.

It is the right of every American to criticize, complain, and file a lawsuit when they consider themselves wronged. "Running to CAIR and (getting) a lawyer" is merely asserting his rights. It's hardly dishonorable.

Were there any witnesses to this confrontation?
I would like to hear what they have to say, so far it sounds like *he said, he said*.
