Vanity: Shock and Revulsion (mine): Paul Begala, James CareVILE claim to be practising Catholics

Okay, if I'm the last one to know about this, I apologize for this vanity post. This was news to me: me:

In The Bug's and James CarVILE's new book (which has sold at least 14 copies--LOL), I was absolutely astounded to read a passage in which these RATS expounded on a passage from the Bible, describing how they used it to instruct The Rapist on how to use "sound bites" instead of rambling on endlessly.

Reading these two vicious attack dogs pontificate on the Gospel according to John made me want to shower and burn my clothes. But what REALLY made me grope for the dramamine was their pronouncement that they are BOTH "practising Catholics"

These two men have made it it their life's work attacking REAL Christians and what they stand for, defending a serial adulterer/molester/rapist, consorting with abortionists, radical feminists, atheists, and radical homosexual activists. But of course, they have NO PROBLEM lining up in church on Sunday mornings to take communion.

Between these two Major League Clymers, the Kennedys, and Senator D@asshole (all claiming to be Catholics....) it's no wonder there's so much Catholic-bashing. (BTW, I am Catholic)

Yikes! Practising Catholics? If that's true, can anyone imagine how horrible they'd be, if they didn't at least have that good influence? (*I don't believe much of anything they say, why would I believe they're practising Catholics?*)

CarVILE and BUGala brought this up in a chapter about how they used John 3:16 as an example of saying a lot in just a few words. (They were trying to coach The Rapist on not blabbering endlessly as he's known to do). They were glib and "cutesy" throughout this whole passage, and then solemnly pronounced they would never make light of the gospel because they are "practising Catholics."

Well, what can I say? John Gotti and Sammy "The Bull" Gravano also claimed to be "practising Catholics".........

Unfortunately, it is the other Catholics, the good ones. . .that get the real bashing. . .

You raise an interesting point though, and that is how so many prominent 'religious', particularly Catholic. . .accepted and still accept the Democrat version of moral ethics. . .as have been painfully exemplified by Democrat leadership.

As a Catholic, I am often saddened to learn that people like this make claim to a Catholic faith which, by their actions and words, they do not live. These people are really just rank opportunists.

I suspect they're trying to clothe themselves in some respectability by saying that, but it just isn't believable.

Actually, Thorn, that's a rather insulting statement to make about Catholics in general. Yes, there are many "cradle Catholics" who are Catholic ONLY because they were raised that way--there's virtually NOTHING in their lives demonstrating that they have Christian faith of ANY kind. These people are an embarassment to REAL practising Catholics everywhere.

Before I converted to Catholicism, I attended Baptist, Unitarian, and Presbyterian churches. Frankly, the Unitarian and Presbyterian churches were pretty much "anything goes" as far as I was concerned (female ministers, gay/lesbian support groups, etc.) These denominations are far better places for Clymers like CarVILE and BUGala to roost.

This is BS. Carville belongs to The Baptist Snake Pit Church.

They talk in tongues... forked. The women of his parrish use the snakes in lewd and lecivious ways.

Carville is the “Keeper of the Snake Pit”.

Begala belongs to The Modern Church of RumpSwabbery.

They are also experienced with the tongue. To be baptized into the church, you must perform a complete ballwash on their deity...

Both Carville and Begala attempted to become Catholics but the Holy Water burned their huge foreheads forming lumps that spelled out LIAR.
