more sodomites trying to force acceptence of their sick lifestyle. To this day I still refuse to work with a co-worker who is a sodomite, and I will continue to be scheduled around him law or no law.

Subtle comments progressed to jokes and grew so troubling he dreaded going to work. He said he contacted a diversity expert at his employer's parent company, but nothing helped.

That was his mistake. You have to solve your own problems. Nobody will respect you, and they will probably hate you, if you think that the answer to every problem is to run to the EEO office or some other "diversity" advocate.

What this guy should have done was put out word to his co-workers that there are some mistaken impressions about his lifestyle choices and that anybody who has a problem could come talk to him. If anybody at work makes a comment, he should directly confront them then and there. If you're strong enough to directly confront somebody and ask them to their face what their problem is, they'll usually back down. Don't lose control, don't be a whiner, speak softly and carry a big stick. If you have to run to a counselor every time somebody says something at work, you're going to have a constant problem.

... To this day I still refuse to work with a co-worker who is a sodomite, and I will continue to be scheduled around him law or no law ...

Good for you, too many people who consider themselves good Conservative Christians (Freepers included) aren't willing to go all the way in the fight against homos like you are.
They like to say, "I hate homosexuality except for my hairdresser of course, or the nice man who takes care of my mother in the nursing home, or the nice guy who catered my daughter's wedding reception, or my brother, or my son, etc."

The only way to stamp out the Homo Agenda is to stamp out all homos ... in that I mean you have to be tough and deny them their jobs, their housing, their equal protection under the law, their "normal" lives any way you can. They're willing to go all the way to advance their agenda ... if you're only willing to go half-way to stop them, then you've already lost.

Child molesters have a sexual orientation. Gonna include them, too?

I love that wonderful loving Christian attitude. I don't agree with the homosexual agenda either but not associating with or bashing gays in the name of Christ is what gives Christians a bad name.

While I agree with you, it is a problem in Delaware - by having a face-to-face confrontation with a co-worker YOU could lose your job. Delaware is not a right-to-work state, and my confronting co-workers he could have wound up with more problems than he had. Believe me, I know.

Maybe, but I wouldn't do it any other way. If somebody makes a fag comment to me in the office, I am not going just slink away. I'm not saying that you should scream at them or get violent, but if somebody makes an under-their-breath comment, you have the right to ask them firmly if there is a problem. If you slink away and complain to the boss or go to the EEO office, you're just inviting more abuse.

I understand what you are saying, but I have to disagree with you. You are advocating discrimination against a group of people based upon what you believe to be a choice they have made in their lives.

The goal of the anti-smokers is to "de-normalize" smokers and they advocate doing to smokers exactly what you endorse against homosexuals.

The gungrabbers want to "de-normalize" gun owners and propose exactly what you are endorsing against gun-owners. The prohibitionists want to "de-normalize" alcohol drinkers and propose exactly what you are endorsing, but against alcohol drinkers.

I have no problem with the opposition to this piece of legislation - but the attitude you are taking in opposition to it opens the door even wider for the opponents of other things that adults choose to do.

All I ask is you re-think how you are phrasing your opposition to this legislation

BTW - the sponsor of this legislation was a very vocal opponent to similar legislation 8 years ago to protect smokers, from similar job and housing discrimination. He's also the same Republican representative that passed the mandatory seat-belt law and is now pushing to make it(not wearing a seat-belt) a primary offense.

It's hard to imagine that there are very many homosexuals in Delaware. We wonder what percentage of the population they are, 1 to 2, maybe?

Child molesters have a sexual orientation.

You can't possibly know how hard I am laughing about that comment. It reminded me that Bill Oberle was the reprsentative that introduced (and got passed) legislation that outlawed beastiality in Delaware. That's a sexual orientation as well, isn't it???

I guess the orientation you named and the one he had outlawed is why this one is so specific (heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual.) Just so there could be no confusion.

I agree - I will never slink away from anything. Some people just aren't as pig-headed as I am. And I won't find fault with them.

You would be amazed at the size of the homosexual population in Delaware. Especially at the beach. Rehoboth Beach is not called the "nation's summer capitol" for nothing. and they've got lots and lots of money.

I always thought Rehobeth advertised as being family oriented compared to Ocean City. You learn something every day. And they have no kids to soak all the money up, so they can bestow it upon those people of easy virtue who hold public office.

All of the beaches in Delaware advertise as "family" oriented - but I think you ar probably thinking of Bethany Beach or South Bethany. One of them ( I don't remember which) had a strict no alcohol policy for many, many years because of the family orientation they wished to keep
