What... you don't think it's funny? Well it gets great laughs down south of the former border.

It's gone beyond a joke here...

Hi!!!

What would you do about the fact that this would shut down the construction industry, highway repair, and agriculture, as well as hotels and restaurants all over the country?

Why don't you ask the hundreds of thousands of Americans that have lost their jobs since 9/11?

AMEN Billy_bob_bob

Supporters of immigration reform should follow the lead in the Tyson case and sue all companys who hire illegals in Federal court for violation of RICO and bring a class action suit for driving down American wages!

Actually, the way you want to use this appeals to me. As your statement is accurate, paying assets siezed as commissions to the INS and Border Patrol agents directly would motivate them to enforce the law regardless of the recalcitrance of their superiors. You've got something here.

Hmmmm... How about a similar (but higher) bounty put on politically correct recalcitrant superiors? Just bring in the head or hide for verification...

But don't limit it to INS and Border Patrol agents, let the citizenry at large participate as well. With the right promotional efforts you could just about turn it into a sort of Reality TV game show.

Oh -- and don't let the secret out that I'm a shameless shill for Vanna White. I figure if I get her a better gig than flipping letters on Wheel of Fortune she might just go out on a date with me...

That or I watched The Running Man a few too many times and should not be drinking straight Barabados rum this late at night.

We do need to end the practice of anchor babies.

Would there be any constitutional problem with a statute stating that illegal aliens who give birth in this country should be deported and never allowed to return except under very narrow circumstances? The children would be citizens per Amendment 14 (whether or not that was the intention, it certainly reads that way) but any time they wish to spend with their parents would have to be outside the country.

Sounds legal [sure]. Sound politically feasible [not in a million years].

How many employers of a Burger King would even contemplate hiring an illegal if their franchise was taken if so much as one illegal was found working there?

That would put employers in fear of hiring anyone with an accent. If the employer made a good faith effort to determine the empoyee's status and the "papers" are in order, no foul. If the employer knowingly hires illegals, take his business.

Things would work out. If you do the right thing, things always work out.
