Yeah, yeah, you and my husband. I won't see the movie until I finish the book. I can't finish the book until I start the blasted thing. I can't do that until I find where the kids put it. What does that make me? "Big 'L' for LOSER!"

LOL, that is the saddest story I've heard all day!

Well, you know yourself best, but I'll give you this on-the-other-hander. My wife and I are longtime LOTR fans, having read the books probably easily a half-dozen times, if not more. And we thoroughly enjoy the movie (she's been 10X, I 11X).

But both of us wish we could have the experience of seeing the movie knowing nothing. Yes, even as it is, I was still in tears on my eleventh viewing, even though I knew (because I knew?) what was coming. But nothing can replace the thrill of discovery, of total surprise.

All that to say — you might reconsider! You only get one first time.
