ROYAL PAIN IN TENNESSEE-Navy Intel Informs Woman She is Daughter of Sucessor to England's King
The New York Post ^ | March 11, 2002 | House of Windsor Biographer Michael Thorton and Cindy Adams

Elizabeth of Englands (50th Aniiversary) Jubilee Year is now being troubled by an American. Her Majesty just acquired an unwanted and unacknowledged first cousin. Michael Thornton Duchess of York biographer informs me.

Elizabeth Kelman, 67-year -old missus of American pathologist Dr. Edward Kelman of Maryville Tenn. (where??!), and mother of five sons, is claiming she's the stolen child of Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson. Says she was born June 3, 1934. In England. Two years before the abdication and three years to the very day Eddie married the Amercian dutchess and they became the wandering unemployed Duke and Dutchess of Windsor.

I'm not up on British rules of royalty, but the fact that Edward abdicated the throne means, I think, that his decendents no long have claim to the throne, does it not?

Says she was born June 3, 1934. In England. Two years before the abdication...

Is she saying she was 'stolen' prior to this, which is why the throne passed to the uncle (her parents thought she was dead)? It seems to be a little late for such a revelation. Or did she just get off the phone with Miss Cleo?

As the first born female her rights to the throne would end when her father abdicated, right?

No, when Edward VII gave up the throne, he gave it up for himself and for all his descendents. He removed himself from the line of succession.

I very, very much doubt this story. The Duchess of Windsor had a probable abortion during her "China" period before she met Edward VII. She was really ill afterward and may have had a hysterectomy as a result. There is some question about Edward VII's ability to father children as well. The Duchess herself is quoted as saying he was not "heir conditioned" (one of her famous bon mots).

Lamar Alexander was born in Maryville, TN.

Does he have a claim to the throne of England, too?

...Maryville Tenn. (where??!),...

A small town just outside of Knoxville. It's most famous resident to date is Lamar! Alexander, although it tries on occasion to claim Dolly Parton (as she is from nearby Sevierville). Pronounced "Murvul", "Muravul" or "Maravul," only outsiders and troublemakers pronounce it like it is spelled.

To get there, take Alcoa Highway south out of Knoxville. If you are still alive 25 minutes later, you will be in Maryville.

Go to the picture section of her relatives and the facial features compared to the Windsors-incredible, very close to a match.

If National Security vouches for this, I wouldnt bet against it.

Maryville, pronounced "Mer-vill" is just east of Knoxville, about 30 minutes away from where I live in Oak Ridge - home of hydrogen peroxide desktop fusion, amongst other things.

Elizabeth Kelman's claims are "patently rubbish", but I would be interested to see the results of a DNA test. I'd also like Liz to tell just why a dead baby was swapped for the live one.
