A leader of the largest Palestinian terrorist group spearheading suicide bombings and other attacks against Israel says he is following the orders of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.

''Our group is an integral part of Fatah,'' says Maslama Thabet, 33, a leader of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade. Fatah, headed by Arafat, is the largest group in the Palestinian Authority, the government of the autonomous Palestinian territories.

Bush has decided that Israel taking out the terrorists is not being helpful. He has decided there are some good terrorists for him.

Amazing. Only one child seems to be shocked.

BTW, why are their parents allowing the children to look at this dead body? To enforce the idea that if you are even thought to be a collaborator with Israel, this is what happens to you?

I agree. This guy's lifespan is now measured in seconds, rather than years. No one talks--if they do, they end up being strung up by their heels or dragged through the streets of Bethlehem, tied behind the back of a pickup.

"Bush has decided that Israel taking out the terrorists is not being helpful. He has decided there are some good terrorists for him."

What's the matter? You seem very dedicated to trashing the current President...are you a left over McLame guy or, perhaps, you are preparing to join Alec Baldwin in the land of the absurd.

Try utilizing some current event knowledge, instead of dribble to make your non-sensical commentary.

In a televised address Saturday, as Palestinian terrorists launched suicide attacks in Netanya and Jerusalem, Arafat urged Palestinians to ''sacrifice themselves as martyrs in jihad (holy war) for Palestine.''

It is absolutely AMAZING to me that this kind of statement NEVER EVER reaches the mainstream US press!!! I don't care HOW leftist they are, this is an outrage and a disservice to our citizens who need to know that Arafat is PART OF THE PROBLEM. He is nothing but a diplomat-assassinating, wheelchair-tossing, athlete-murdering, airplane-hijacking, child-sacrificing, international aid-stealing thug, and our press legitimizes his actions every day that they don't tell the truth about him. Makes me sick.

End rant.

As the terrorist wing of Arafat's Fatah faction, the brigade has the support of the largest political and military faction in the Palestinian Authority. Hussein A-Sheikh, a Fatah political leader in the West Bank, seems insulted when asked whether the brigade is under Arafat's control. ''Of course, there is control,'' he snaps. ''What do you think? That we are just a bunch of gangs?''

What a statement. He is so arrogant that he doesn't dare let us believe that they are just a bunch of rock-throwing hooligans out raising cain past curfew. Oh no, make no mistake about it, folks, we take our orders from The Man, and we're proud of it.

End second rant. Take deep breath. Hit post reply.

attempted to hang the body of one from a rooftop overlooking the traditional birthplace of Christ but were prevented by Palestinian police

Notice that it doesn't say anywhere what you might expect to see in any area that was not controlled by thugs and barbarians - specifically, it does not say that "the alleged murderers have been arrested by Palestinian police, and have been arraigned on charges of murder, and are being held in jail with no bail set, pending the setting of a trial date. The suspects have been identified as...".

He is doing that himself by aligning himself with terrorists. I know, I'm not being helpful.

Well, I hear what you are trying to say, but I'm not willing to go that far regarding GW just yet. I am certainly disappointed by yesterday's comments, I am less than thrilled about the UN resolution (although since Syria abstained, I may have to study it out a bit more, ha), but it doesn't seem to me as if Arafat has Bush's backing, not when he refuses to host him at the White House and goes so far as to pointedly ignore his very presence at a UN luncheon.

I'm definitely not happy with aspects of the Bush administration's Israel policies, but considering how drastically different it is from Clinton's, I am willing to wait and see for a little while longer. So far it seems all Bush has done is give Arafat rope with which to hang himself, and there are always conditions, ones that I suspect Bush knows Arafat has no intention of EVER meeting. But like I said, we'll see. We do know that all nations will one day be against Israel so unfortunately that includes the US too. Bush has to stand before God one day just like the rest of us, and he surely has a tough line to walk in the meantime.

Some of Bush's closest advisors (presumably Cheney, Rumsfeld, possibly Rice) advised him to give up on Arafat. Bush decided to keep ties with Arafat even though he knows Arafat is a terrorist. Bush has said publicly that Israel is not being helpful by attacking the terrorists. It is only a matter of time ...
