During the 1999 Israeli election cycle, Democrat Party plotters James Carville, Stanley Greenberg and Bob Shrum created the Labor Party candidacy of Ehud Barak.
They did so at the behest of Bill Clinton who was in search of a legacy aside from Monica. The thinking was that if he could control the Israeli presidency they could also push Israel into the arms of Arafat, achieving a positive place in history - possibly even securing the Nobel Peace prize as icing on the cake.
Like evil little gnomes growing poison mushrooms, they spread the moral pestilence of Clintonian politics like so much manure; their meddling - merely to stroke Clinton’s ego - has brought forth the politics we see today in the Middle East and the images you will never see on television, Israeli children ripped apart, gaping wounds oozing blood and intestines, mangled little corpses half burned - faces blown off by the force of Palestinian terror bombs.
Sorry, gentle readers, that is what is happening, there is no way to soft coat it.
There is a tradition in Israeli Labor Party politics - a precedent set both by Yitzak Rabin - who used US political consultants - and by Shimon Peres who, scraping the bottom of the whisky vat, selected Wet Teddy Kennedy’s political strategist, Davis Sawyer - to use big time American handlers in the quest of being able to more scientifically manipulate Jewish public opinion.
This is not isolated behavior, specific to Israel, it is a worldwide phenomena.
One which finds Democrat strategists actively seeking to elect and foster socialist governments and left wing, often terrorist, movements.

Clinton’s meddling was of a vastly different nature however - his administration literally owned Barak - lox stock and bagel.
They forced him to accept virtual defeat, a bloodless coup brought about by the Democrat backers of Arafat.
Fortunately, Arafat is stupid as well as arrogant - rejecting victory and the sure presidency of a Palestinian state, because, as had been made manifestly clear over the last few months, what he is really about is killing Jews, it is the raison d’ etre of the Arab world, unfortunately.
The above “tradition” and acceptance of subordination of purpose comes to you thanks to the Israeli Labor party, since 1968, the Jewish State’s proud standard-bearer of socialism.
And make no mistake about it, the Labor Party is the party not only of discredited socialism but also of appeasement of Palestinian terror.
It is the Labor Party, right now, and other doves that are restraining Sharon’s hand in dealing with Yasser Arafat’s continuous outrages.
We are talking Labor Party kingpins such as Israeli Foreign Minister Shimon Peres; Arafat’s 1993 Nobel Peace prize buddy. He seldom has a bad word to say about the Palestinian leaders and actually believes that communication is what it’s all about.
Oh come let us reason together
Labor Party strongman, Defense Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer, has a reputation of being somewhat less dovish than many Laborites but observed just a few days ago
"the IDF's operation will succeed if, when it ends, it will be possible to continue with the political track. The political future is the Saudi [Crown Prince Abdullah] initiative."
This is insanity, the Crown Prince’s family has been one of the chief financial underwriters of Bin-Laden, to expect any plan offered by his unelected, dictatorial regime to be in Israel’s best interest is lunacy.
It is the Labor Party’s intransigence - combined with the defects inherent in a parliamentary system of governance - that make it impossible for Sharon to arrest Arafat - or for that matter even muss a hair on the hair of the head of leader of the PLO which has rained death and destruction upon Israel for 30 years.
These people believe that it is possible to reason with Jihadic terror, that trading land for peace – which has been shown a tragic and failed policy – will somehow work in the future.
All evidence to the contrary, the Israeli left feels that so-called moderate Arab states exist and are willing and able to control the excesses now being visited upon their countrymen.
As an aside - It is this same Labor Party mentality that infects so many, essentially secular Hebrews in this country. It feeds the cognitive dissonance that allows anti-Semitic collectivists like Hillary Clinton to gather almost 60% of the Jewish vote in New York - in this case, ideology apparently trumping religion 2 to 1.
Israel is worth defending from a variety of perspectives, it – like any recognized state - has the right to self determination, it is the only democracy in the Middle East, it is our only ally in the area – willing, able and confident enough to act in our mutual interest - even when our own government sends [primarily because of Clinton cadres still in residence at the Department of State] at best mixed, signals.
But in a greater sense and possibly most important is the philosophical angle - Israel is also the font of belief, the bedrock of a faith that binds the Western world together, the Judeo-Christian ethic – a philosophy which if taken as a whole, destroyed poly-theism and provides a clear road map to earthly ethicality as well as offering the promise of salvation in the hereafter.
It would be a tragedy of untold proportions to let this little but vital piece of real estate and history be sublimated to the blind hatred and desire for revenge from a morally and technologically bankrupt Arab world.
It would, unfortunately, be totally in character for the left to allow freedom's flame to be murdered in the Mid East.
