I know virtually nothing on the subject, but watch a lot of the history channel, TLC, Discovery, and A&E (artillary & explosion network as my WWII professor called it). Basically, what I know about it is that it was made by the Soviets and it was the largest nuclear bomb ever built and tested.

I like watching films of nuke tests and love the movie "Trinity & Beyond." I am not sure if it is in 'Trinity', havent seen it in a while. But I do remember the film of it making the American test bombs look like firecrackers.

It is in Trinity and Beyond. As well as one other of Kuran's films. (Got them all)

As for the asteroid, I wondered why the grocery store had sold out of toilet paper, bread, and milk. :)
