ID Cards Help Mexicans put Cash in Bank.
More of the same old nonsense!!
Yeah, but I don't fly economy class.
Yeah, but I don't fly economy class.
You are a piece of work.
Your opinion and 89 cents will get you a cup of coffee at McDonald's. Try it sometime.
NOT IN THIS COUNTRY PAL and this is where i bank think the first one i see in my branch ill ask if there legal citizens if not ill haise hell and they know me in my bank by name.
Banks will open an account for anyone with a SSN or tax payer id (issued by the IRS for foreign people).
The consular card nor the existence of a bank account implies legal status or the right to work in the US. Some are trying to pretend this card grants them something, it doesn't.
Your're right. It doesn't grant them anything but it sure opens a lot of doors for them.
Don't get me wrong, I agree 100 percent.
Again, for this particular banking issue, the only solution is for the Dept. Of Treasury, the DoJ, and the State Dept. to declare matricula IDs illegal for the purposes of identification in the United States.
Making one prove citizenship/visa status (for banking, driving, credit, etc) is not the way to go, since you, I, and everyone would have to prove our status. And I have no interest in a national ID system to prove my native US citizenship to anyone.
Well, the current process of verifying and monitoring non-citizenship/immigrant status has obviously failed. So what next?
Well, on the one hand the INS could pull start by driving a big van or bus to the 7-11 at Bailey's Crossroads, Virginia, and ask all of the 50 illegal Mexican aliens milling around there to produce identification. And if they can't produce it, book them on suspected immigration violations.
But that would be "profiling," and politically incorrect.
So on the other hand, they could erect a massive inefficient and intrusive police bureaucracy to determine the citizenship of every single person in the United States, in the process of constructing the universal monitoring system known as the "national ID card."
You'll see a model of this non-discriminatory harrassment method being practiced at your local airport.
