For those of you who dont read Norwegian I will offer a translation. Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammad who currently lives in London says that he has cells in place here in Norway and will within a year will start the transformation of Norway into a muslim state governed by Sharia.

The sheikh says that he will use the democratic process to reach out to Norwegians(muslim and infidels) but afterwards will phase out the storting and all courts will be based on muslim sharia.

And the clear and present danger to all of us. How are we going to reconcile our BillofRights and the Constitution with the fact that in mosques and islamic 'cultural centres' and 'charities' all across the US, as I type this, imams are preaching hatred and death to all of us, advocating an islamic state either peacably or violently, and encouraging jihad.
This kind of rhetoric should not be allowed to hide behind free speech and religious freedom. The rhetoric leads directly to and encourages violence.

July 2001 we traveled to Torsby Sweden which is about 2 hours east of Oslo. My wife's family reunion brought us there. Two of the cousins discovered a pizza parlor at a road house that was operated by a Lebanese family. Might they have been a secret cell? Uff Dah!! They were fun to visit with and they seemed to be coping with the long winters and cold weather.

My wife and daughter are Svenska blondes although I'm of Italian descent. Islamic problems?? Heck, I don't know what's worse Ole and Lena or my two blondes!

Hahahahahah. There's 35.000 muslims in Norway, most of them pretty removed from Islam - the youngsters have been pretty up front when it comes to denounce the fundamentalists, even to the point of wiring up and getting video footage of illegal stuff.

And Norway is a society more well-armed than anywhere but the US and Switzerland. Very peaceful, but can be amazingly intolerant when riled.

So, I'd like to see the "sheik" try. The number of muslims in Norway would shrink from 35.000 to about 35 as fast as the deportation planes could take them :).
