"Judicial Watch Takes on Philly Mayor, DA, and Teamster Thugs"

"Last October, Don and Teri Adams heard that President Clinton was attending a fundraiser in Philadelphia. Believing that President Clinton should be impeached, this brother and sister team decided to exercise their constitutional rights and protest outside the building where President Clinton was speaking. The head of the Pennsylvania Teamsters, John Morris, and a gang of union tough guys decided they didn't care about free speech. Under the direction of Morris, union thugs attacked Don Adams. His sister Teri was knocked to the ground as she tried to defend her brother. What followed will shock you," reported "Endangered Liberties" host Lisa Dean and her guest co-host, Cliff Kincaid. Larry Klayman, chairman of Judicial Watch, which is representing the Adams', provides the details.

Klayman: "Let me set the scenario here, because it's important. At the time of the attack, inside city hall was President Clinton with Ed Rendell, mayor of Philadelphia, now head of the Democratic National Committee, one of the top fundraisers of the Democratic Party, doing a fundraiser. Rendell had allowed the Teamsters to come onto City Hall property - a permit was granted. So, therefore, Rendell is responsible for being there. Philadelphia has a history of Teamster violence with some of the locals. So there was reason to believe that something was likely to happen - and sure enough it did happen with regard to this local 115 run by John Morris.

Not all Teamsters are bad - this is a bad group of people. This the Ron Carey side of the Teamsters Union, as opposed to the Jimmy Hoffa side, which is now in control. And they beat the heck out of our clients [Don and Teri Adams] - they were all bloody. And when that was over, the Philadelphia police wouldn't even let Don Adams talk to the press. They moved him away. Because he wanted to explain what happened.

This is part of what he was protesting with Clinton. The police weren't interested in taking him to the hospital. They just didn't want him to talk to the press. So, they denied him his First Amendment rights. Thereafter, Don and Teri went down and Don filed a criminal complaint against the Teamsters.

Who wound up getting indicted? Not the Teamsters - but Don! Because the Teamsters put forward some phony lady to say that Don had attacked her. Now after that, this is incredible, Ed Rendell goes on TV, and echoes the same things that the Teamsters are saying - that allegedly our clients, the Adams, were disparaging Hillary Clinton and Chelsea Clinton. There's a video of this! They weren't disparaging anyone of that sort. They were simply protesting Clinton's improper behavior. Rendell says the same as the Teamsters - 'This is what you can expect when you disparage Hillary and Chelsea.' And then his press spokesman, which is his agent, comes forward and says 'Bad career choice when you take on the Teamsters.'

So, what does this mean? The mayor of Philadelphia is likely behind this attack. He was currying favor with Clinton; and sure enough, he got his reward for this and other things - he's now head of the DNC. Great bunch of people."

Klayman explained that Don and Teri Adams were "carrying signs. Don was at the head of the line; Teri was behind him. They're two orphans, by the way, they've taken care of each other for quite a while. And they were saying, 'Impeach Clinton', that's what the sign said, 'Impeach Clinton', and a few other things - nothing to do with Hillary and Chelsea. And the Teamster head, John Morris, this real thug, comes over and puts a hat on Don - that's a signal in union parlance to attack somebody - that's called 'capping' - and they beat the living daylights out of him - on TV.

They made a big mistake."

Klayman went on to say, "Don was acquitted in record time, in a matter of minutes, by one of the few judges in the Philadelphia City court system that's honest, frankly. And he was let go. The thing then hit the Wall Street Journal, and the city, the District Attorney, Lynne Abraham, because now she was on the spot, indicted some of the Teamsters but plead them out quickly to probation - $100 restitution to Don - [and] he spent over $10,000 just on medical. So we were retained to bring a lawsuit, which is what we did about two weeks ago, against Mayor Rendell, Lynne Abraham, the District Attorney, and the Teamsters.

And it's a very, very, strong case. I think everybody can sympathize with what they're going to see on this video. It's exactly what you saw in Nazi Germany with Brownshirts before World War II. Hitler trying to quell discontent by beating down peaceful protestors. This is the first example of how this administration has used totalitarian tactics on video, physically, against the American people; although we suspect it in many other instances…. This show, the title of it is so perfect - 'Endangered Liberties' - because this is exactly what it is - endangered liberties - abridgement of the First Amendment, beating people up - people have been smeared with FBI files, they've been intimidated with threats to their children, and nails in their tires and their cats missing. But this is part of a pattern. And although President Clinton is not in this lawsuit, we believe the evidence will lead back to the White House in the end."

The bold in the article and some of the rather poor formating are mine. I'm at work and didn't have time to fix it.

I posted this on another thread first, but thought it might be worth a heads up for PA FReepers so I put it out here on it's own as well.

Hey PA FReepers! A little early to start rallying to troops but... do I smell a series of FReeps ahead?

it's about time that Larry got his act in gear

John Morris died before Judicial Watch ever deposed him and I see JW never laid a glove on the prosecutor and the union oversight board

Let's hope JW can make up for lost time with Rendel before olf-ish Ed becomes PA Gov

Good luck and God Bless Don & Terry

Well, actually I dont think Larry did get his act in gear. I grabbed this article because it was in an archive I could find quickly. Be that as it may, it still stands as ammunition against Rendell. If Eddie gets PA thats another Clintonista chomping at the bit to deliver the state at Hillary's feet.

Rendell must be beaten, hopefully broken and his bloody body dragged around the arena. I can't wait...hehehehehe!

Pennsylvania bump.

I know a lot of people aren't thrilled with Mike Fisher - Republican candidate for governor - but surely he is much better qualified and a more decent person than the thuggish Rendell.

Messing with the Teamsters:
"Not a Good Career Choice"

Philadelphia -- Rallying in opposition to the President in the presence of 'Teamsters for Clinton' can be hazardous to your health. Don Adams was knocked down, punched, and repeatedly kicked by members of Teamsters Union Local No. 115 while President William Clinton spoke at a Democratic Party fundraiser in City Hall on October 3, 1998. His assailants only stopped when his sister covered him with her body. The sister, Teri, was shoved as she tried to shield Adams.
The 38-year old Adams was part of a group of 60 to 70 anti-Clinton demonstrators. He carried a sign which said, "Liar, Pervert, a National Shame.' At least three busloads of Teamsters were bussed in to take part in a larger pro-Clinton rally.

Adams got into a heated argument with John P. Morris, president of the Pennsylvania Conference of Teamsters, when Teamsters took his sign reading 'Resign or Get Impeached' from him. At that point, according to Adams, Morris removed the fedora he was wearing and placed it on Adams' head, blinding him. "I think it was a signal," Adams said.

Adams was treated at Hahnemann University Hospital for bruises and contusions to his face and body. "I really thought at times I wouldn't get up. I thought it might be my last day on earth," Adams said.

No arrests were made the evening of the assault,

This protester had a rough experience with 'Teamsters for Clinton' but police issued arrest warrants for Teamsters members Kevin McNulty and Marc Nardone for aggravated and simple assault, recklessly endangering other persons, conspiracy, and riot. A substantial portion of the incident was captured on videotape, and Adams has since filed a criminal complaint against Morris, the Teamsters president. Kevin Feeley, spokesman for Mayor Rendell, said, "the anti-Clinton groups chose to make their views known. They chose to make their views known in the faces of the Teamsters. That is generally not a good career choice."

[Source: Philadelphia Inquirer, Northeast Times]

Rendell made a comment himself, paraphrasing because I can't find it in the files: "Hey, when you mess with the teamsters, IT happens." IT being short for the four letter word...SHXX.

Thanks for this article, prisoner6
I was aware of this when it happened
slick willy and Ed Rendall must be very chummy, the instant slick was safe from Impeachment he hired Ed Rendell to be Chairman of DNC
Ed Rendell's job was to organize the massive fraud operation to give election to Dems in 2000,
so slick willy could continue to hold the reins of power
God bless Larry Klayman and Judicial Watch
Love, Palo

"I know a lot of people aren't thrilled with Mike Fisher - Republican candidate for governor - but surely he is much better qualified and a more decent person than the thuggish Rendell."

It's worse than that. I know of almost no one who doesn't think that Fisher isn't weak and spineless. He also believes that the Governor's mansion should be his by unamimous proclamation. He is now refusing to address the gun and abortion issues which are the two main things that distinquish him from Rendell's positions. He and Rendell are trying to make guns a non-issue and strip us of our influence.

You are right about Rendell being a thug and that's what makes this so difficult. I don't want Rendell to win, but I really want to see Fisher get his butt kicked.

This is a funny statement but that is how most of us feel. Gees, a pure bonifide thug against a pure bonifide whimp.

Both of them are gonna have some blood on their hands when this is over. Fisher came out with the first punch today calling Rendall "a rock star candidate". Funny stuff.

Rendells week spot is the state's mid section and upper left corner. Did you know that Rendell lost to Casey in 57 of our 67 counties?
