Yep...flight schools...training...terror.
Maybe the FBI should be checking out Dive Schools!
LEE COUNTY The FBI is targeting local dive shops after a warning about scuba divers possibly carrying out terrorist attacks. Several local dive shops say the FBI has contacted them to find out if anyone of Middle Eastern decent has taken scuba lessons in the last three years. They also wanted to know if any suspicious people bought scuba equipment. One shop owner says he can see why scuba would be chosen as a tool for terrorism. "What they are looking for is to get close to get underneath one of those vessels and plant a large bomb and have it sink offshore," said Brent Argabright of Deans Dive Ceneter. Experts also say advanced scuba gear, known as a re-breather, would be especially appealing to a terrorist. The gear doesnt let off bubbles and there's no noise, making it virtually undetectable from above the water. Link

U.S. intelligence officials said several requests from a Middle Eastern country for underwater equipment and training prompted the FBI to alert the public last week to the possible threat of attacks carried out by scuba divers.
Unidentified Middle Easterners made several telephone requests to a Seattle underwater supply company in the past several weeks. The callers sought to purchase specialized underwater equipment, including re-breathing apparatus and mini-submarines of the type used by U.S. special operations commandos, the officials said.
The company alerted the FBI to the requests that were suspicious because of the type of training requested, according to the officials.
Recent information has determined that various terrorist elements have sought to develop an offensive scuba diver capability, the FBI said in an information bulletin issued by its National Infrastructure Protection Center. While there is no evidence of operational planning to utilize scuba divers to carry out attacks within the United States, there is a body of information showing the desire to obtain such capability, the FBI said.
