"Some small American newspapers frequently fabricate offbeat news to trick people into noticing them, with the aim of making money," the state-run Beijing Evening News said. "This is what the Onion does."

Ugly Chinese have little sense of humor.

Every ethnic group I've ever encountered tells jokes and has a sense of humor.

I'm sure the Chinese have a GREAT sense of humor.

It's state-controlled newspapers in repressive police states that have little sense of humor; not the people.

You are correct. Its the statists who are ugly. And they don't need to be from China.

I work with a large number of chineese, and my brother's wife and her family are chineese. I've never heard any of them utter a joke or laugh about anything. These people have no souls, I'm convinced.

What a total idiot! I could talk about my own experiences in China and Taiwan, experiences which proved that Chinese laugh like everybody else. But it hardly seems worth the electrons. Anybody with the mental candlepower of a housefly would know better than to write such nonsense, and arguing with such a bonehead is like wrestling a pig.

You obviously have not been in a packed movie theater in Kowloon H.K. like I have watching the crowd reaction which was much more hilarious than the Jackie Chan movie they were guffawing, snortling and laughing at!

My what an odd, blanket statement.

Thats hillarious, Of course the chinese are never going to admit that they were to unskilled to come up with a story of their own and that they were just out to recycle one someone else had already done. They have to much pride to ever admit being wrong. I know this from a great deal of experience.
