NOT ENTIRELY COMPOSED WHEN DEPOSED. That would be Democratic gubernatorial nominee Ed Rendell, who was recently deposed in a federal lawsuit in which he is a defendant.

Rendell appeared at times angry, frustrated and incredulous over some of the questions asked during the June 14 deposition in Philadelphia. More than once, he threatened to walk out of the proceedings.

Gee,I wonder what would happen to any of US who told a judge they would walk away from a court proceeding they were ordered to be at?

Nothing if we were asked the same kind of questions totally unrelated to our purpose for being there. People being deposed have a right not to answer certain questions at a deposition and can be forced to answer those questions only after the Federal judge has heard the question and thinks it has any probative value. Typical Klayman crap, he will probably end up with the Adams paying Rendell a million dollars.

Did you request the presence of the Teamsters at the rally? Why did you ask them to come? Did anyone else ask you to invite them? For what reason? Did you expect that they would cause violence? Should you have expected it? Did you warn them on how to behave? When did you hear that the Adams were assualted by the Teamsters? What was your response?

EXCELLENT questions!!! Too bad you weren't there.

Perhaps, but Rendell certainly didn't come off favorable in my reading of the article (Of course, I'm biased).

Probably made Rendell victory inevitable but then Klayman got his fifteen minutes of fame. Why anyone agrees to associate with him is beyond me. My favorite moment of the entire Florida mess was when our favorite Florida Judge told Klayman to sit down and shut up as he was there only as an observer.

Sorry that Don and Terri have Klayman for their attorney.....his questions have no bearing on the assault.

Klayman is an ego maniac who will cause Don and Terri more harm than good.

So it seems. I would be interested in knowing all of the questions he asked. We can only hope he asked some good zingers, but experience makes me think not!

Someday Klayman is going to find himself designated an enemy combatant and disappear!

Spoken like a good CommieNazi. And folks wondered how it happened in Germany .....

In fairness to Terri and Don, I believe they retained Klayman (or he retained them) before it became apparent to most that Klayman likes the sound of his own voice and never produces.

That's not the same thing as saying you can just get up and walk out any time you want. Cross one of those prima donnas on the bench, and they WILL lock you up.

The choice was between Larry Klayman and Mark Levin. Certain Freepers who are no longer with us steered Don and Teri very strongly towards Klayman. Ultimately, they went with Judicial Watch instead of Landmark Legal Foundation because they were set up to represent Don in all phases of the complex case, from the several criminal cases to the civil lawsuit. Landmark Legal Foundation was not able to do that.

Larry shines light on cockroaches.
GOP cockroaches applauded when the light was on the 'Rats...
but they began whining when it caught them lurking in the shadows.

There is no doubt that Philly politics stink, whether it's Don and Terri's incident with Morris/Rendell...
or unrelated incidents over the years with Arlen Sphincter, Frank Rizzo, etc. etc. etc.

Just the same, I'm not sure what Larry thinks he's up to with this line of questioning...
It seems pretty superficial... at least AS REPORTED in the lamestream media.

Even so, it doesn't hurt to flash that spotlight around at random a little...
Ya never know what little cockroach you might catch scurrying for cover...
And Philly is infested with 'em.

To some of the questions, not at all. And he is a thug, without question.

But some of the questions seemed out there enough to inspire ridicule.

I understand what Larry does. But this isn't about Larry, is it? It's about justice for Don and Terri, who got the crap beat out of them.

It's not about a future press release for JW.

You most certainly CAN stop a deposition until you get a ruling from a judge as to whether a line of questioning is relevant.

Rendell is running for governor and needs no bad publicity. Klayman is pushing his buttons. It's seems to me that Klayman is putting his agenda ahead of the Adams' by using Rendell as a cat toy.

Not a Rendell fan by any means, but I'd need to see the transcript before passing judgement against Rendell's responses. Klayman is known to get a bit "out-there" and I wouldn't be all that surprised if he did pursue a line of wacky and irrelevant theories.

It's about justice for Don and Terri, who got the crap beat out of them.

Their case is strongest against the low-level thugs who were directly involved in the incident.
The cockroaches higher up the ladder are much more elusive and evasive.
What level of "justice" do you think is appropriate?

Geez, I didnt know I had to add the sarcasm in brackets or something like that for you to know I was joking. If you thought I was serious, then you dont have a very strong belief in our system.

Rendell doesn't own it anymore -- just the dillettante main-line lib and the white-boy union wacko part. Remember what current Philadelphia Mayor Street recently said -- "The Brothers are in control.". He is right, and they are testing their wings.

Street has already had to seperate himself from the old Rendell machine on various issues, and if the Feds could turn up the screws on the Machine Rendell a bit, thry might find Street a gregarious partner. Street needs jobs and urban renovation money to help his constituancy.

Just speculatuion on my part.

Bob Casey Jr. was independently elected State Auditor General for many years. I often wonder why he din't come down harder on Rendell's administration, and wonder if Casey regrets that now.

If Rendell wins as governor, Street is going to have a real tightrope to walk -- playing up to the Republican admin for federal money, while polishing Rendell's DNC eggs for state money. Street needs both, as Philly is vaporizing and won't have those "votes" for long.
