This from the new NE:A secret witness has stepped forward with startling new details about Elizabeth Smart kidnapping case - including astonishing revelations about her father's bizarre behavior shortly before the abduction.

{And)...Authorities are stunned by similarities between the kidnapping of Elizabeth and an almost mirror image abduction that took place in Idaho Falls just hours earlier.

The Idaho Falls kidnap victim - who survived the ordeal - is also a beautiful 14 year old blonde like Elizabeth.

Both teens have five siblings, and both were abducted at home in front of their sisters as they slept...in both cases, there was a trampoline at the house (indicating children lived there), and the suspect brandished a gun, and growled a similar threat.

In an explosive interview The ENQUIRER spoke exclusively with Corey Dennis, a subcontractor at the Smart's Salt Lake City home, who observed a frightening oddball character hanging out at the residence shortly before the kidnapping - and eyewitnesed Edward Smart's mysterious behavior.

Dennis, an air conditioning technician, told The ENQUIRER that he is baffled that nearly a month after the kidnapping Salt Lake City police had still not contacted him...

I worked for Ed Smart for eight years, and when I saw him just days before Elizabeth vanished he was acting very strange - like someone I didn't know. It's eerie," Dennis told The ENQUIRER.

...I noticed a strange man standing in the cul -de- sac leading to Ed's home.

He looked ...awfully suspicious, He was about 50, with ...a beard..wearing a gray jogging suit...He had a lot of anger in his eyes...

...Ed said I needed to take an early lunch, but I explained to him that I had other appointments in the afternoon. He then said, "You have to leave because I have to close this deal."

...About 45 minutes later, Ed called me on my cell phone and told me it was ok to come back to the home...The strangest thing about his behavior (Ed's, when he came back) was that he did not leave my side the entire time I was in the house...

"I've been to Ed's house maybe 20 times in the last eight years - but he never once followed me around until that day...

“I asked them today, did Mary Katherine (Elizabeth’s sister who witnessed the kidnapping) tell you she knew the abductor? They never answered. I said, did you ask? They said they've been told by the police not to ask. Well, that's significant. If she didn't yell and Elizabeth didn't yell the probability is they knew the abductor,” King said.

Even though it's been one month and no sign of Elizabeth, King said the Smarts still believe she's alive. King said speculation continues and any theory is possible.

“There's no way to guess it. My favorite conclusion would be I ran away with a boy, I met a guy at the Olympics and she' s in Romania with this Olympian skier, best news in the world,” King said.

Re: Your #31, #33 & #34. I think you are pretty much right on track. This should all come to a head this week. Either the cops have something significant or they don't. The media and public is losing interest. It will become harder and harder for the Smarts to hold up a brave front. I don't know how they have done as well as they have. In their position, I would probably be a basket case.

Meantime, a man has been identified who helped tow Richard Ricci's white jeep to a West Valley auto repair shop. 2-news has been told the man hired Ricci for building or renovating homes.

The mechanic said he saw Ricci walk across the street and meet another man. The mechanic did not get a good look at the second man. Police want to know if it is the same man who helped Ricci tow the truck to the shop the first time in late May.

In all police are now questioning four ex-convicts in the case and a fifth man who may have been with Ricci when he returned the SUV to the repair shop.

Sounds like LK is closer to the truth than some would like to believe. I know it's close to the theory I've had since Day 1 -- except I doubt she's in Romania.

Well, that's more than a little interesting! We don't get the NE here until Monday. I know the NE haters will discount it, but let's face it, it's not the "alien from mars" tabloid it used to be. The NE has had some credible scoops in the past few years.

I think the Smarts are simply doing what the police have told them to do: Don't comment on specifics about the ongoing investigation.

Perhaps someday--maybe even soon--we'll understand why certain things aren't being openly discussed. It IS an ongoing investigation, after all. But "filling in the blanks" with conjecture isn't necessarily useful.

Brigitte, at the time the police/FBI took fingerprints, etc. of a group of men/neighbors of the Smarts, it was reported that three of the men were out of town and would submit fingerprints later. Have you heard if they returned and did so? Thanks.
