So? This is the way it should be. Ambassadors should not be appointed because of political donations or connections. I want the US ambassador to the Vatican to be a catholic, the ambassador to Russia to speak Russian, the ambassador to Israel to be Jewish or at approve of the Zionist movement and so on.
Also the politics of an ambassador don't really make a difference. Tancredo could be appointed as Ambassador to Mexico, but that woudn't close the border or put a stop to run away immigration into the US. The ambassador just has to have parties, keep the embassy staff running smoothly, and articulate US political positions that are made by people other than him.
you will see!!
Do you need any more exaple than 9-11.
What bothers me the most is the Americans are giving up their liberty and freedoms becaue of immiration.
if Bill clinton did home land defense you world be Screaming
It's changing our Christian country to a Vulcanization of America.

Agree on the first point, disagree on the 2nd. The ambassador to Mexico should be someone who understands Mexico and it's culture, and has a background fitting the country. HOWEVER--the ambassador to Mexico should also be a conservative who will enforce the RULE OF LAW and hold RINO Mexican President Vicente Fox's feet to the fire for running as a "conservative" and then betraying us to push a socialist agenda.
Henry Bonilla and Linda Chavez are two individuals who I would trust in a position like this. Bonilla is a strong advocate of the soviegnity of our borders and Chavez is solid on perserving America's language and culture.
Bush has done a pretty good job but on the issue of U.S.-Mexican relations he has failed us thus so far. Buddying up with Vicente will come back to haunt him the way the Illinois GOP is now suffering from being apologists to corrupt RINO Governor George Ryan. Having a relationship with a border country is a two-way street, and our ambassador must ensure Vicente holds up his end of bargain. Since his inaguration, Vicente has instead choosen a path of trying to leech off the United States and then is nowhere to see when we ask for his support on international issues.
Suppose your next door neighbor was always "inviting" his kids to your house without your permission. They'd sneak in on a regular basis, "borrow" all your stuff, trash it, and then daddy would tell you what good kids they are. Would you rather have your stern wife go next door to have a little "chat" with the neighbors, or your 14-year old son go there to hang out with his teenage buddies?
Actually, I want the ambassadors to the Vatican, Russia and Israel to be loyal Americans who put the welfare of America and the American people ahead of the welfare of the Vatican, Russia or Israel.
