Obviously the tree-nuts and Democrats never did care a fig about the spotted owl or any other wildlife, since they've ensured that the habitats for the animals and birds are all being destroyed by fire.
The true purpose of the environmentalists and the Democrats has been, all along, to destroy the value of private property, to seize government control over private property, which is the rock-bottom basis of ALL of our liberties.

Grampa, I humbly beg you to forgive my ignorance of Oregon geography, but my mother, sisters, brother, and their children live in Tigard, and I'm wondering where all this is in relation to them. If you could give me some info, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Here is the map of the Portland area, and Tigard is sw of Portland off I5. It is considered to be part of the Portland Metro Area.

Thank you, Grampa Dave. So if I understood the thread correctly, it's pretty close to Tigard? I've been to a couple of the areas you mention, and it's truly God's country. If I thought my husband would go, I'd move out there in a heartbeat.

No, the current fires are not close to Tigard.
Tigard is close to Portland.
You need to get an Oregon map and orient yourself.
Most of the fires are in the southern part of Oregon and east of the Cascade mountains. There are a couple, including the Biscuit Fire in the SW part of Oregon.

You are right, and look what has happened to these Druid Cathedrals when we have been kept out and not allowed to clean and groom them.
Many have burnt up!
