You know I hate most lawyers about as much as I do bankers and Islamist. That hate and $1.99 will get you a cup off espresso at Starbucks.
I reserve comments on any lawyer that would try to get this guy off on something as stupid and insignificant as this.
Fine. That reservation will not stop the lawyer from using this incident to do precisely that. That is the defense counsel's job: to use whatever the prosecution hands him to get his client acquitted.
In the real world, actions have consequences. If the possible consequences of this nitwit's nitwittery include freedom for a terrorist, then he needs to find work that is more tolerant of his being a nitwit.
I remember a Muslim Calendar circulating in the Middle East with a picture of WTC attack on it and celebrating the attack. I wonder if this was one of them. (Just a thought)
It would be a sad day in America if what you describe happens.
I believe O'Reilly addressed this recently. About lawyers who know their clients are quilty but will do anything to get them off. His example was I think a killing and the lawyers money was "blood" money. To me it would be the same thing. IMHO the guy had the checks to cash to fund terrorist activities here and abroad.
