Good Morning! FR's Finest today is certainly FR's Finest.

Congratulations Jim and Sheila. Thanks for your vision and practical application of that vision. Thanks also to Chris and John. What a family!

Count me as one of the lucky FReepers who has been able to FReep with our Commanding Officer on many occasions.

Salute to the boss!

Thanks for calling my attention to this thread Loddy. What an excellent and well deserved tribute to our personal FR hero. FR is my home online as well. It is where I come for news and events, for an education, for entertainment, and to socialize. I can't imagine the internet (or life) without FR.

Jim, you're one of a kind. God bless you and Shiela and John and empower you to keep doing what you do. You are making a difference.

I first met Jim Robinson via the internet, and of course that was here at FR. Then in 2000, the South Carolina Chapter held it's first Rally at which Linda Tripp made her first public appearance after the impeachment and all of her legal problems.

We knew that BobJ would be there, Clarity, Nick Danger and others that were regulars on FR, but it was unclear whether or not JimRob was going to be there, in fact I didn't know until the last minute that he was here.

I had heard so much about this man, that in my mind, I saw him as ten feet tall - somewhat of a Paul Bunyan/Pecos Pete/Superman person, larger than life and able to leap tall building in a single leap etc., anyway you get the picture - what I found instead was a very quiet, shy man who was concerned about his country and the people in it. And to this day, I believe someone who is still stunned by what he started.

That Saturday after a full day of seminars, I watched JimRob, J.J. Johnson, Cynic, Alligator Eyes and others sagging and tired until I introduced a speaker by the name of Van Jenerette - as Van spoke I watched JimRob suddenly come alive - you could see the passion for the subject on his face - it was the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Thus was formed my impression of the man - shy, quiet, but passionate about his beliefs. I later met Jim at the Ignauration Ball and found him no different.

From JimRob, I learned it doesn't matter whether you are Democrat or Republican, Libertarian or Green, what does matter is: DO YOU LOVE YOUR COUNTRY? DO YOU BELIEVE IN THE CONSTITUTION AND THE BILL OF RIGHTS AS WRITTEN BY THE FRAMERS? DO YOU CARE ENOUGH? 'Cause you see, he's a democrat and I'm a republican - but we both love our country and are seeking the the goals.

So thank you JimRob for giving me and others a place to spout off, thank you for the various chapters that have sprung up across the nation, but most of all thank you for caring enough for your country to do something about it!

PS: better duck - I'm getting ready to plant a smooch on your cheek and hug your neck!

Hey Y'all. I want to thank all of you for making this wonderful thread possible. I've long admired your individual creativity and talents but today I'm expecially enjoying your collective efforts.
Mr Robinson,

I'm so pleased to have an opportunity to participate in this tribute to you and Mrs Robinson. Thank you for your service to our country. Thirty plus years ago, when we were embroiled in an unpopular conflict thousands of miles from home, a young Jim Robinson answered his nation's call to duty. You willingly sacrificed a part of your youth at great personal risk for the sake of others, in defense of freedom and because it was the right thing to do. Your tireless devotion, courage and unwavering patriotism inspire and encourage me.

Today so many of our young people are once again in harms way. They are thousands of miles from home and away from their loved ones. To be sure they're engaged in a just and worthy cause and they too are prepared to risk it all to defend and to preserve the privileges of freedom for America and for the world. They, too, have answered the calling of a higher cause because it is the right thing to do. We can never adequately express our gratitude to them or to all previous generations in whose footsteps they follow. What we can do is support them and acknowledge their selfless dedication to preserving life as we know it for future generations of patriots who will inevitably one day find themselves following in their large footsteps.

Through FR you have continued your efforts to promote and protect our freedom and that of freedom loving people everywhere. In the midst of 9-11, as the horrible weight of that day unfolded and settled in on each of us, you again came forward in defense of our country and it's leadership. I was struck by the moral clarity of your purpose and determination to support our president, our troops and the very foundations of our country. Again, you answered the call because it was the right thing to do.

Congratulations to you and to your bride. I hope you both enjoy all the heartfelt good wishes coming your way today from so many of us grateful FReepers. Thank you for all you do to make this forum possible.

What a pleasure it is to get home from a mini-vacation in San Francisco only to hook up the old 'puter and find that Jim and Sheila Robinson are being featured on FR's Finest!

Jim and Sheila are two of my favorite people in the world! Jim is such a devoted patriot and all around good guy. Sheila is such a cut up and so much fun! I am honored to be able to FReep the peaceniks (and go out to dinner afterwards) with these two great Americans nearly every Friday night.

I admire the two of you so much!
