A 32-year-old North Miami Beach woman who crashed her car through a seawall and into a canal Thursday told police she was trying to kill herself because a Hollywood plastic surgeon already under scrutiny for allegedly botching surgeries disfigured her, police said.

Around 2 a.m., Cathy Carucci plunged her silver Nissan into the Intracoastal just north of 1501 96th St. in Bay Harbor Islands, police said, and was pulled from the submerged vehicle through a rear window. ''I just want to die,'' she told police.

Im reminded of Carl Hiaasens book "Skin Tight" about a crooked plastic surgeon who was killing people to cover botched nose jobs. Hilarious, as are all of his books.

I am Woman here me roar. Free to do whatever we want. Free to be me that is with face lifts and tummy tucks and eye jobs and breast implants and liposuction all done in the name of vanity becasue if you really believed in who you were you would feel free to be yourself from the get go WITHOUT the plastic surgery to make you look like someone you are not. Whew! Long sentence, eh?

By the way folks, I am not speaking of those who need surgery for serious and medical reasons. God be with them and may their surgeries help in their lives to overcome whatever it was that brought them to that point.

But for the rest, here we go. I'll do what I want when I want until it doesnt' work for me then guess what? Uh-oh, Dr. botched my plastic surgery so now I get to BLAME HIM! Phonies just like the surgeries. By the way, did anyone see Joan Rivers the other night? I just saw the intro clip and I think (i COULD BE WRONG) it was the Jay Leno show. My God how much more can she do to her face? Holy smokes.

Can plastic surgery change our age in numbers too? For heaven's sake, grow old gracefully. Everyone can't stay young forever. Why not look for the good in old age instead of trying to compete with the real youngsters. Yipes...what a waste.

I saw a segment on some magazine-style TV show last year regarding botched cosmetic surgery, except the "victims" were paying cash to a Mexican doctor who performed the operations in hotel rooms.

Sometimes it's worth paying the extra couple of grand.

What really cheeses me is these parents who buy their daughters plastic surgery for a graduation present! Why on earth would you risk your child's life on a whim? Like you said, it's different if the poor child is horribly disfigured and just wants to look 'normal'. But if these children are being taught to base their self worth on their looks...heaven help them! What message does that give them? "Oh honey, you don't think you're pretty enough and neither does mommy" ??? Awful!

Carucci told police she had undergone a cosmetic procedure performed by Dr. Alton Ingram Jr. and that the doctor botched the surgery. Carucci's family did not wish to divulge the exact nature of the surgery and would say only that it was surgery ''to the chest area and stomach,''

It's those damned Junior Mints!! They're so refreshing!

This is a good reason not to get too much plastic surgery.

Submitted for your approval: the case of one Miss Janet Tyler, a hideous disfigured woman hoping for one last chance at a medical miracle. Today, her bandages come off. But we must not be surprised by what we see, for beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Even in.. "The Twilight Zone".
