Actually, the glass you refer to is called "Trinitite", after the Trinity Site where the first A-Bomb blast occurred.

They also call it "the pearls of Trinity."

If you can find the book "Trinity" it has a wonderful explanation about the find, which was made from inside a leaded-up armored vehicle. It's quite interesting.
