"...If everybody would talk it out rationally, we wouldn't have this issue." Seems to me that Hootie is the only one being rational here.

For the love of Pete, will someone please explain to me why the preference of men to associate with other men in a club is "bigotry", while the preference of women to associate with other women in an all-women's college, such as Hillary's alma mater Wellesley, is something to be "celebrated"?

I support the Masters 1000%. Who the hell do these lezzies think they are trying to destroy another institution? I'm sick of them. I hope they kick CBS out too and double the payout. Then I hope they hire a blimp to sail around the entire course during the tournament with the scroll that says:
"Take that you b*tch"
Hootie would get my vote in the next Presidential race then.

Augusta and the Masters would be wise to accept private contributions in lieu of "corporate sponsorship" to free themselves from this type of pressure. The money would pour in. The Boy Scouts took in more money than they needed when they requested private donors to make up for liberal institutional pressure. The end result is that they can now exercise their constitutional right of association in freedom.

Get ready for the full-court press from the media. If there's one thing they're good at, it's whipping up a frenzy where none was before. The newspaper columnists, television sportscasters and radio talk show hosts will harp on this over and over, feeding malcontents such as Burk, who will then point to the increased publicity as evidence of public sentiment in favor of change. Watch especially for commentary from journalists who couldn't tell a golf ball from a medicine ball, but suddenly know exactly what's best for Augusta National. Proponents of letting women into the club will be portrayed as progressive; opponents as women-hating neanderthals. Fact is, if this is the most pressing issue in the women's rights movement, I'd say life here in the U.S. is pretty cushy.

Just watched H&C that had the lesbian "Pat" Ireland on.
That goodness for foam bricks.
Even my wife was tossing them.
Won't these people just go away and leave us alone.
So what if 300 men want to have a private club.
Hottie Johnston aught to apply at Wellesley, and when he is accepted, let the ladies join his club.

If women were smart as they want to be viewed as, why the heck don't they start their own mucky muck extremely exclusive golf club just for VIP women and call it Augustina and make it more prestigious than the one they are trying to take over, dominate and consequently ruin.
All they are appearing to be, IMV, is small minded pettiness, priggishness, greed, envy and jealousy combined to capitalize on the hard work and success of others while contributing nothing on their own behalf.

Just what we all need--a bunch of portly, hungry, angry women telling us all what to do. If a private club wants to have men only, tough s%$#.
Just because the "fellas" want to join Augusta doesn't mean Augusta wants the "fellas". This is a clear signal that they are running out of causes and relevance.
Remember one of Rush's undeniable truths of life:
Feminism was created to give unattractive women easier access to the mainstream of society
