If Bowels Mother had miscarried- would it have been diagnosed as a spontaneous abortion, or as a ruptured hemorrhoid?
I find it interesting that even the New Republic found it hard to either like or respect Bowles. And do they work hard to try. Casting about to a TV show, sheesh. Of course, it would be natural for liberal intellectualoids to rope in fictional sources, as much of what their politicos say are confected at best and triangulated from wishful thinking at worst.
I am thinking that Burr has achieved real traction in the last few weeks and that he will beat Bowles using the opposite tactic to Dole (as cited in the article), though I think it'll be close. It won't hurt that GWB looks to take NC by at least 10 points.
