Draft Speech to the United Nations by the
President of the United States of America;
The Honorable George Walker Bush.

President Bush: Ladies and Gentlemen of the world; honorable dignitaries; special friends and welcomed guests, I come to you today with a message of peace. Peace is at hand. America stands before you today a humble servant of humanity and protector of the planet that gives breath to our lives.

This world is a beauty. From an ocean's breaking wave to a canyon stream there is beauty to be found everywhere. Life on this planet is a great gift from our creator. The world's beauty can also be found in our children and families. I just got back from a month at my ranch in Crawford, Texas. I felt the earth between my toes and the sweet, fresh air in my lungs. When God created the Earth, He created a real beauty.

But, dear friends of the Earth and God fearing nations everywhere, America, humbly comes before you today with a warning. There is a dire threat to peace and freedom in the world today. Terrorism is the politics of hatred as Democracy is the politics of love. It is no wonder that America finds its enemy in Terror. Because, terror is the bitter enemy of freedom. The Kings of Terror would take away our freedom to choose, the freedom to explore and create and most of all, the freedom to live freely in a peaceful, worshipful society.

Americans believe in freedom and choice. America, while allowing athiests the full beneifts of citizenship, is one nation under God. And we trust that God will deliver us from evil. But we don't trust that we will be delivered from evil while we sit on our behinds. No, honorable ladies and gentlemen of the civilized world, America has been chosen, as the only remaining superpower, and one nation under God to introduce a new world order.

Despots, dictators, Presidents for Life and Princes should be very afraid. The battle is afoot between freedom and slavery, between love and hate, between good and evil.

America has weapons of mass destruction. So do other powerful nations, even our traditional adversaries. But we do not use our great weapons because we know that war is worse than peace no matter how tenuous or contentious that peace may be. The great nations of the world know that trade and opportunity is better than tension and strife. The wise men and women of the world know good and evil when they see it.

Planting shrapnel bombs in sidewalk cafes and shouting, "Death to America!" is not an answer to anything. Those who would nurture, harbor and support those who would kill, maim and murder innocent babies and children will be treated as the terrorists themselves and be removed and replaced.

Let me say something right here about Israel. Israel has a right to exist and should be allowed to live peacefully with her neighbors. The nations of this body, the respected United Nations, voted to grant Israel nationhood. These are the Chosen People of Western Civilization's history and tradition. If the Jews do not have a right to exist then who does?

I am a Christian and I declare it proudly. I believe that Jesus, a Jew, was the Son of God, and came to redeem and salivate. This is what I believe. It is my right as a human being to believe in the God of my choice.

America is a God fearing nation that believes in goodness. We try and give a good life to our peoples. We provide them with the comfort and safety of homes and values. America loves freedom like the Terrorists hate the truth.

And the God Almighty Truth is that Terrorism has got to go and America will make it gone. Wherever we find it and whenever we find it we will remove it and replace it with hope and progress.

There has been speculation in the media and press as well as expressions by international government officials that America needs the support and backing of our friends and allies before taking on the evil network of terror that threatens the world. Some would prefer that we ask for official approval to carry out our duties and responsibilities as agents of goodness and truth in the world.

My religion has an enemy that we call Satan. He is a fallen Angel. He would not submit to the will of God. Just as Sadaam Hussein will not submit to the will of the world's communities. In my religion, Satan is known as the Great Deceiver. Satan uses lies, seduction and downright coercion to seduce our desires and steal our souls from God's loving heart.

The question is; will you submit to what is right and good about human civilization or will you continue to let bullies, barbarians and brutes have control over the sacred responsibilities of shepherding a people and a nation? To be a nation in the world today you must submit to International law. To lead a nation in the world you need to understand the free market system. You need to know that no nation is an island outside of the community of nations. Laws, treaties and trade agreements are sacred currency within the interactions of men.

Human Beings have been granted the Freedom of Choice. That's what makes us higher than the animals. Even Angels don't have freedom of choice.

With Freedom of Choice comes great responsibility. How do we use and manage our precious resources? How do we provide our people with food and water? How do we protect what is ours from those who would take it from us.

Let me say something right here about oil. I'm an oilman. I come from the oil business. It's a hard business. It's a good business. It's a business about bringing heat, light and infrastructure to the people. In the last 200 years Western Civilization has taken a great step forward. The common man has become his own boss and manages his own affairs. Modern technology has revolutionized evolution and destiny. The industrial revolution built the foundation for the modern world. The manufacturing revolution allowed for the feeding, sheltering and transporting of hundreds of millions of people. These revolutions were fueled and fired by oil. If man hadn't figured out what to do with all that crude, the world would have evolved much differently. The Oil Age allowed for an economic structure that provided stability and security to more people than ever before in the history of man. These revolutions of which I just spoke are not over, but have become the very infrastructure of Western Civilization. To put it simply, our very civilization needs oil to survive. Any source of tension and strife in the oil delivery system should be removed and replaced as a matter of International Security.

The national security of the United States of America depends upon our access to oil. America has been a good partner with the governments of the Persian Gulf region. But she also must act to protect herself when she is threatened. The present regime in Iraq threatens the national security of the United States of America. America must remove and replace the Hussein regime in Iraq as a matter of self-defense.

I meant what I said earlier about the fundamental right of human beings to worship their creator as befits their traditions and beliefs. The God of America is also the God of Israel. The God of America is also the God of Arabia. But the regime in Baghdad has rejected our God and follows instead the path of terror and tyranny.

America does not mistake itself for the God she serves. We know we are the messenger and not the message. America has sinned in the world. We have made mistakes in our zeal to fight Godless Communism, for instance. When freedom is threatened, America reacts in a very strong and emotional way. And that is why we are passionate and insistent in our diplomacy and dialog now. The forces of terror in the world seriously threaten the very freedoms that countless generations of peasants, workers, merchants and patriots have fought and died for.

Perhaps some of you cannot understand our passion. Many of the member nations of this respected, illustrious body of diplomacy have never experienced democracy. Some member countries within the United Nations are run by despots, dictators, Presidents for Life and, yes, even Royal Families. You do not know what it is to face your own people at the ballot box or in a townsquare debate. Instead you are walled up inside palaces and conclaves with missiles and jets for protection and escape. You do not know the fun of a freedom-loving democratic political brawl. You can't understand the right of every man to pursue his dream to be himself.

It's time for plain speaking. Tensions are high, passions are ablaze and sabers are rattling. One of America's great statesmen, Teddy Roosevelt, said that America should walk and talk softly but carry a big stick. America has a big stick. But time for talking softly is over. America is a nation that prides itself on honor and integrity. Even though we have a big stick and find ourselves in the position of the world's last Superpower, America has the character to act responsibly and use its power for the common good.

At the end of World War Two, when America emerged as the first modern Superpower, we did not fight for more real estate or enjoy in the spoils of war, but we fought for freedom and democracy against totalitarianism.

We rebuilt Europe and Asia after World War Two, not for our own gain but for the betterment of humanity. We did not lord our advanced weaponry and standard of living over anyone but offered assistance when we could and lent American Prestige where it was needed.

So it is with humility and integrity that I come before you today and say that there is a scourge in the world that must be eradicated. It is the scourge of terrorists. It is the scourge of suicide bombers and destroyers of peace. It is the scourge of evil whose mission it is to destroy the very civilization that mankind has worked and labored hard to build over the course of millennia.

America has a vision of peace for the world. But standing in the way of harmony, serenity and tranquility are those who make themselves enemies of peace, prosperity and progress. Some of these people have names like Osama bin Laden, Saddam Hussein and the Assads of Syria. Some have names like Hammas, al Qaeda or Hezzbola. Some are faceless, nameless zealots gathered in tiny cells scattered around the globe like unexploded landmines. But all of them are enemies of freedom, destroyers of peace and soldiers in Satan's army battling to enslave mankind. We ask you to join us in this classic battle of good against evil.

But if you do not join America in the war against Terror, make no mistake; America will not be diverted from its mission or led astray by forces of doubt and darkness.

If America must be the lone voice crying in the wilderness then so be it. The tradition is an honorable one. If America alone must stand up for liberty and fight for peace then that's the way it is. If America by herself must fight the implacable foe until the dawn's early light then she will. Because she can.

America has the power, the passion and the resolve to see the defeat of the enemies of freedom. Join us or not. But if not, then stand out of our way and do not be swept up in the maelstrom. But also let it be known that even in our war faring, we don't fight from hatred or the desire for revenge. We fight out of love for God's creation. Our only goal is to seek simple justice from those who have done us wrong.

One year ago America got its wake up call. It is now time for the world to get theirs.

Perhaps you don't take America seriously. Maybe you think we Americans are jaded and corrupt. Our open society is the marvel of the modern world. Yet, with our creed of tolerance and patience many challenges still arise. We are not a perfect society but we are a strong society. Perhaps we spend too much time on human interest and not enough time on history and economics. Perhaps we are too trusting. Perhaps we are naïve.

But what Americans are not is afraid or unsure of our destiny.

Americans believe in three things. Family, Faith and Fairness.

If you mess with those things, then you mess with what America cares about most.

May God bless these United Nations of the World and may God bless the United States of America.

Thank you.

If this is his speech, America is going to have a great day of rejoicing tomorrow!!! It is going to completely wash away the stain of the last administration in one powerful blast of moral and spiritual clarity, and put this nation back on the path to life, and off the path to destruction.

This "speech" is baloney, and one that Bush would NEVER give. You've been taken in. What's that old phrase, a sucker is born every minute. I look forward to hearing the REAL speech tomorrow.

Well, as I stated above, I only hoped that this was true, but really didn't believe it (much too good to be true in my mind).

One can always hope.
