Smart lady! Unfortunately I didn't have the foresight a month ago to know the President would be speaking this morning when I made my haircut appointment. I remember my stylist wanted to schedule it for yesterday and I said no, I wanted to be home to see the 9/11 events. Thought I was so clever, lol. Luckily I heard the first 2-3 minutes in the car on my way home and was able to see most of it on tv.

The President’s speech is a defining moment of the world's history that has yet to be written.
It was beautiful how he reminded the U.N. of its chartered purpose and duty. And, he delivered the speech from the perspective of an U.N. member. How can individual countries argue with that?
He did however go one step further by making an Iraqi regime change a condition for compliance. This condition will certainly require military action.
I predict we’ll hear many timid countries say, “Me too!” in coming days. Everyone loves to be on the winning team.
What is to follow in coming days will become known as “Saddam’s Waterloo”.

Oh, wait, now, Daschle is wanting to hold off the debate until after the election. Surprise, surprise. Who needs the mainstream press...the socialists are so predictable.(^;

Daschle! Getting the same wussy ball questions from his lapdog reporters. "Did he persuade you anymore?" one of them asked. Daschle says, everytime he speaks in public, to try and make the case, he strengthens his case, but no, it wasn't conclusive." "I don't think a case for preemptive attack has been made conclusively yet. How much will it affect our ongoing war , .....if a preemptive attack has regime change as goal, how will it take affect. We have to answer before we attack."
"Well, as I said, there are lots of questions out there, let's wait and see what the international level of support is."
CNN promises Lott and mcCain will respond next.

Daschle needs to be shown that he is not president. I hope Bush takes him to the woodshed and tells him the congress will debate this because that is the people's business and they will act or he will go public and advise that they refuse to handle their duties.Of course, Bush won't.
