BEVERLY HILLS, California (Reuters) -- Apollo 11 astronaut Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin offered a spirited defense Wednesday as to why he decked a pushy filmmaker who wanted him to swear on a Bible that he really did go to the moon -- self defense.

I'd go with his story. The reporter was a serious jerk.

I don't blame Aldrin for poking the guy, but I'm not real sure it was self-defense. The guy blocked Aldrin several times and wouldn't leave him alone. That being the case I'd have probably clobered the guy myself. Aldrin was trying to leave. The guy blocked him. The guy would not get out of Aldrin's face. Aldrin tried to move away from him, but couldn't leave him in the dust.

If this is Sibrel's side of the story, Buzz will never be charged. This Sibrel guy belongs in the slammer. (Doesn't California have laws against stalking?)
Aldrin should be given a Citation of Valor.
