Too many skeletons in Reno's closet. May still be found guilty of violating laws in the Courts. The only fit place for her is in THE HALL OF SHAME FOR FREEDOM & JUSTICE GROUP http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ForFreedomandJustice

I'd like to add two points that often get overlooked.

1. The INS originally placed Elian with his American relatives. US regulations in such cases say that a State family court will decide custody, and an INS spokesman said this would be the case with Elian. The Clinton Administration then went against their own written and spoken positions and awarded custody to the biological father.

2. Juan Miguel was never out of the control of Cuban officials. In other words, he never had a chance to defect or to freely express an opinion. All we have are the words of Bill Clinton, Fidel Castro, and Janet Reno that Juan Miguel's wishes were being followed.

This is a most eloquent statement, obviously made by an individual who is sometimes struggling with English grammar, yet he brings the many ponits home. I cannot envisualize myself trying to submit a letter to the editor of a foreign paper in any second language, and I just have to give this guy credit for this remarkable message.

I said it last night; two elections have been settled due to Elian's kidnapping by our government and we owe a hell of a lot to that little boy. He's kept two miscreants out of office....
