Videotape of Florida Detainees at Tollboth hits airwaves.
Posted on 09/20/2002 8:46:10 AM PDT by Stu Cohen
They just showed the toll booth tapes of the Florida detainees on television.
According to the newscaster, both cars stopped, and paid the attendant. The tapes show them doing exactly this.
I'm not sure what to make of it, but the media is putting the tollbooth tapes into heavy rotation.

That's because they are so desperate to justify their 24-hour-a-day existance, they'll air anything. Nothing but a bunch of whores... FOX included.

"According to the newscaster, both cars stopped, and paid the attendant. The tapes show them doing exactly this. If that is indeed the case, why did the "Detainees" say that one did not stop and the second car paid for both? Something is not quite right here.

I believe this whole thing was orchestrated to send a message that anyone who tries to be vigilant in spotting terrorists will be made a pariah, and to discourage others from reporting suspicious activity. Mission accomplished.

All the news networks should be blasted to hell and back for NOT SHOWING THE INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE TESTIMONY now being shown live on C-Span...where no one will watch!!!!!
FBI agents, hidden behind screens to protect their identity are explaining how terrorists got into the country.

Likewise with the reports of them "blowing" past the tollbooth and the memory of the toll collector. This whole thing is a keystone cops story in the making.

Who owns the tape?
To: Stu Cohen
I suppose we're to believe that Flori-duh only has one toll booth.

We need to go back to the statements of the 'detainees' themselves ... after the incident, throughout this last week, they have stated over and over the first car did not pay the toll and the second guy paid for them both.
Is it possible the toll booth operator is scamming by telling drivers that the car in front of them did not pay, when in fact they did, in hope the second driver will have a good heart and say, "... well, let me pay for them." She/he could be making an extra 10 bucks an hour in "tips" if this is in fact what they are doing.
But, back to the three students ... why are they saying the first car did not pay and blew through the toll and the second car paid when all of this is not true?

I wonder if any middle eastern country would allow embarrassing film to be shown like this?

The main topic of discussion, at the beginning, was how two of the terrorists who flew planes on 9-11 got into the country. The CIA knew they were here.
The woman who investigated this, Eleanor _______, has already testified. She laid it out in easily understood language, how close the FBI and CIA came to rounding these two up, but because information wasn't shared between agencies, and when it was, wasn't acted on, Sept 11 happened.
They seem to be saying changes already implemented, will, hopefully, be better able to prevent another attack. One of the FBI agents was practically in tears..he's the one who, too late, put together vital information about one of the terrorists. For months before, the information was "out there", should have been acted on, but wasn't.
My question remains....will Louis Freeh escape any culpability? Will he even be questioned? His name hasn't even been mentioned, as far as I can tell, in the months following 9-11.

Part of the problem is that the dumb gubermint employee at the toll booth was so "frightened" that her brain and memory suddenly became jello.
This drip should have coffee with Eunice one of these days to learn how to keep herself grounded when trouble appears to be percolating.

Stop following the organized sheep herders here folks. THINK.

I fully expect this thread to reach 400 posts, filled with the people who were wrong, and stirring up emotionalism to put in equal effort to quell rumor and spread the facts instead of disinformation.
LOL.. man, I'm funny. 7 pm nightly. $10 cover charge...

But, back to the three students ... why are they saying the first car did not pay and blew through the toll and the second car paid when all of this is not true?
If ALL of you would pay attention to what people say, you would KNOW that the first car ONLY had part of the toll money and paid that...(50 cents I believe)..the second car paid the balance...The 3 suspects were NOT telling a lie..!!!

The whole thing was not orchestrated, that is beyond paranoid.
All it shows is that situations are never as clean and clear as we would like to think. People are loose cannons that all apply their own spin to a situation, and the truth is often something else, by the time the facts come in. Keep that in mind whenever trying to fault someone in hindsight for their judgments at the time.
The woman has been unfortunately maligned... But she has defended herself well. We NEVER should have known who called in the tip... That was the biggest mistake of this whole ordeal.
The tipper is not responsible for being right, nor is she responsible for the reactions of the police, the media, or the suspects.
So they were innocent. So we closed down a freeway and blew up someone's luggage on live TV over nothing. That is a lesson in itself, perhaps. But it is not her lesson... it is the authorities and the media that need to learn how to react to a new world.

I wonder if any middle eastern country would allow embarrassing film to be shown like this? Probably not. I'm proud to be in a country where they will.

I agree with your post but the statement ....
One of the FBI agents was practically in tears..he's the one who, too late, put together vital information about one of the terrorists. For months before, the information was "out there", should have been acted on.... seems almost silly as even you and I can put the parts togeather
after the incident occurs.
The new "look what happened to Mrs E. Stone " phobia is being set in stone by the presstitute/polidiot/terrorist supporters community to keep average citizens mouths shut when suspecious activity is observed in their part of the world.
Just my 2 cents. I'll shut up and walk away now.......but I will report or act as Mrs Stone did if I even suspect someone is part of such an atrocity. She did good and I support all who will report what they actually observe or hear in a first person manner.......rumors be damned !!
Stay Safe !
