Lets see if she is "politicising" the issue:

TRANSCRIPT: IRAQ MUST COMPLY WITH UNSC RESOLUTIONS, SAYS ALBRIGHT (Secstate notes Bahrain's support in Iraqi crisis) Manama, Bahrain -- "Saddam Hussein, armed with chemical and biological weapons, is a threat to the international community. But it is a profoundly dangerous threat to the nations of the Persian Gulf and the entire Middle East," Secretary of State Madeleine Albright asserted February 3.

"Saddam does not discriminate in the use of his weapons. Saudis, Kuwaitis, Bahrainis, Iranians, Israelis and Iraqis have all been his targets. We must stop Saddam from threatening any people of this region with weapons of mass destruction again," she said at a press briefing with Bahraini Foreign Minister Shaikh Muhammad Bin Mubarak al Khalifa.

Albright said "the Amir agrees with the United States that diplomatic options are quickly running out, and that soon we will be forced to make some hard decisions. Diplomacy remains our preferred option. But the standard for a real diplomatic solution must be full compliance with the Security Council and unconditional, unfettered access for UN weapons inspections."

The Secretary said that throughout this trip, she has found "unanimous agreement on the fact that Saddam Hussein must fulfill his obligations imposed upon him by the Security Council, that it is essential to have unfettered, unconditional access to the sites by UNSCOM, that whatever comes of this if diplomacy fails and military action is necessary, that Saddam Hussein is responsible for the grave consequences.

"I have had I think very positive support, whether it's from King Hussein or from the Amir here, or Kuwait or Saudi Arabia, for what we are seeking. And I think that we believe that we will have all the cooperation we need across the board," she said.

She stressed that the United States has no quarrel with the Iraqi people. "We do not wish to see women and children used as human shields. We do not wish to see people sick and hungry. The U.S. wrote the UN resolution permitting Iraq to sell oil for food and medicine. Now we want to expand it so more food and medicine can be provided more effectively to the Iraqi people," she said, adding, "But nothing will change our determination to thwart Saddam from ever threatening this region with weapons of mass destruction again."

Albright noted that this year marks 50 years of relations and friendship between the United States and Bahrain and she expressed the appreciation of the U.S. for Bahrain's support in this time of crisis.

The problem with dimocrats holding office, is that even after you kick their a-- out, they hang on for decades as "elder statepersons." Albright was a tragic mistake for the US, but she sure was a great dupe during the Lewinsky blackmail season.

Ms Albright said: "It is not an American trait to want war."

Is that why she was so enthusiastic about bombing Belgrade? I'll take Kissinger on this one. They can have the Mad Bomber.

"And it is not a sign of sound leadership..."

Yet Maddy considers the foul administration she served "sound".

Disgraceful, the lot of them.

Maddie "I believe him" Albright has the temerity to say . . . squat?

This is looking more and more like a Rat set-piece operation all the time. They planned this drumbeat.

The question is why?

This quote sums up Halfbrights solution pretty well.

Let's remember: The previous administration's stated goal was also regime change. "We would like to see a different regime," said Madeleine Albright, shortly before the airstrikes on Iraq in December 1998. "That is what we are going to be working towards by more active support of the various opposition groups."

Yes, that worked out so well, didn' it? How could such a steely-eyed policy have failed? Look at the measures we brought to bear: During the '98 attacks, U.S. warplanes dropped leaflets on Iraqi soldiers encouraging them to oppose Saddam. That's right, leaflets. Not even precision-guided leaflets -- just ordinary paper, fluttering from above, asking the enemy troops to shoot Saddam if the opportunity ever arose.

This ugly bag of incompetent shi# is the Janet Reno of the State Department. She and Sandy "commie" Berger stood around with their hands in the pockets of others while the terrorists killed Americans with impunity. Anyone who listens to this old nag needs rest.

Why do all these democrats have such short memories regarding their "war on terrorism" ? Re: Albright's CNN performance as Secretary of State regarding Iraq :

She offered this as to why the Clinton administration was justified in attacking Iraq. One young man asked Albright why the United States is willing to attack Iraq while ignoring actions by other countries. Albright responded, "No one has done what Saddam Hussein has done, or is thinking of doing. He is producing weapons of mass destruction, and he is qualitatively and quantitatively different from other dictators

And of course she and the Clinton administration did nothing but left the mess for Bush to clean up !!

LOL! The Madame Dufarge of American diplomacy and her boss did NOTHING to counteract the threat from Iraq during their tenure in office. As a matter of fact when Madge Albright was Secretary Of State, she promoted an initiative to have "rogue states" relabeled "states of concern." And now she wants cautions us over unwarranted "exuberance" where Iraq is concerned. This is really too rich to bear and you gotta hear Clinton's female Jimmy Cartuh lay out the case for delay, delay, and delay.

Clinton: Iraq has abused its last chance
CNN ^ | December 16, 1998

Posted on 09/14/2002 8:43 PM Pacific by The Great Satan

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- From the Oval Office, President Clinton told the nation Wednesday evening why he ordered new military strikes against Iraq.

The president said Iraq's refusal to cooperate with U.N. weapons inspectors presented a threat to the entire world.

"Saddam (Hussein) must not be allowed to threaten his neighbors or the world with nuclear arms, poison gas or biological weapons," Clinton said.

Operation Desert Fox, a strong, sustained series of attacks, will be carried out over several days by U.S. and British forces, Clinton said.

"Earlier today I ordered America's armed forces to strike military and security targets in Iraq. They are joined by British forces," Clinton said.

"Their mission is to attack Iraq's nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs and its military capacity to threaten its neighbors," said Clinton.

Clinton also stated that, while other countries also had weapons of mass destruction, Hussein is in a different category because he has used such weapons against his own people and against his neighbors.

'Without delay, diplomacy or warning'

The Iraqi leader was given a final warning six weeks ago, Clinton said, when Baghdad promised to cooperate with U.N. inspectors at the last minute just as U.S. warplanes were headed its way.

"Along with Prime Minister (Tony) Blair of Great Britain, I made it equally clear that if Saddam failed to cooperate fully we would be prepared to act without delay, diplomacy or warning," Clinton said.

The president said the report handed in Tuesday by Richard Butler, head of the United Nations Special Commission in charge of finding and destroying Iraqi weapons, was stark and sobering.

Iraq failed to cooperate with the inspectors and placed new restrictions on them, Clinton said. He said Iraqi officials also destroyed records and moved everything, even the furniture, out of suspected sites before inspectors were allowed in.

"Instead of inspectors disarming Saddam, Saddam has disarmed the inspectors," Clinton said.

"In halting our airstrikes in November, I gave Saddam a chance -- not a license. If we turn our backs on his defiance, the credibility of U.S. power as a check against Saddam will be destroyed," the president explained.

Strikes necessary to stunt weapons programs

Clinton said he made the decision to strike Wednesday with the unanimous agreement of his security advisors.

Timing was important, said the president, because without a strong inspection system in place, Iraq could rebuild its chemical, biological and nuclear programs in a matter of months, not years.

"If Saddam can cripple the weapons inspections system and get away with it, he would conclude the international community, led by the United States, has simply lost its will," said Clinton. "He would surmise that he has free rein to rebuild his arsenal of destruction."

Clinton also called Hussein a threat to his people and to the security of the world.

"The best way to end that threat once and for all is with a new Iraqi government -- a government ready to live in peace with its neighbors, a government that respects the rights of its people," Clinton said.

Such a change in Baghdad would take time and effort, Clinton said, adding that his administration would work with Iraqi opposition forces.

Clinton also addressed the ongoing impeachment crisis in the White House.

"Saddam Hussein and the other enemies of peace may have thought that the serious debate currently before the House of Representatives would distract Americans or weaken our resolve to face him down," he said.

"But once more, the United States has proven that although we are never eager to use force, when we must act in America's vital interests, we will do so."

Madeline Albright gave and went to meetings and parties. She and the Clintons are greatly responsible for the Arafat problems of today. Her "can't we all get along" approach to terrorists has not changed nor her stance on the United Nations, she loves all those do nothing people; one of the great confederates of a global taxation, global everything. Her security in the State Department was so lax anyone could and did come and go as they pleased taking whatever wasn’t nailed down. Madeline Albright ain’t all bright. These socialist thinking democrats are trying hard to pull America down from a strong industrial, capitalistic country to that of Arafat’s Palestine.

President Bush will not take this country and our allies into a war that cannot be won or an unnecessary war; he has too much respect for our military. He is pushing as hard as he can to get the United Nations to honor their commitments and our own elected to get off the dime both here at home and abroad and he has Saddam’s attention! Tom Daschle is screaming he is so terrified his party is loosing power---not that his country may be in eminent danger from a deranged tyrant; NO he wants to show the world that He, Tom Daschle, the man who stood behind and for a failed, lying, womanizing, flag burning, rapist Bill Clinton, is bringing the Bush administration to its knees. He is, it would seem determined to stall the Bush administration on all fronts from judges, bills to the war effort on terrorism. Tom Daschle is not the man he thinks he is; this cur is going to get his whupping and soon.

E-mail the White House and urge the President to stand firm on his commitments for the economy and for the security of the United States, ask him to squash the man from South Dakota. Pay no mind to the Albrights, ex-president Carter and all the other nay-say’ers. Keep in mind the media is eating this up and egging it on. All who can, would be wise to discontinue their subscriptions to any and all news papers until after the election, there is no truth in them anyway. McCain’s Finance Reform is already going down in flames, it was never workable.

Report: Albright Livid
When Mistaken for Maid

W A S H I N G T O N, Feb. 4

— When a bunch of Albanians mistook Madeleine Albright for a hotel cleaning lady, the secretary of state spewed a most-undiplomatic, and untranslatable, stream of invective, a newspaper reports.

A State Department spokesman wouldn’t comment on the New York Daily News report that Albright was mistaken for a maid during last year’s peace negotiations for Kosovo in Rambouillet, France.
Albright at first wasn’t recognized by the Albanian delegation when she walked into their room, it said.
“One member of the delegation, who didn’t realize who she was, and probably thinking she was some cleaning lady because it was after midnight, simply said to her, ‘Give us five minutes and please go away,’” recalled Albanian diplomat Dugagjin Gorani in War on Europe, a British TV program.
Instead, Albright exploded in rage, swearing at the group, according to the reports.
“Mrs. Albright started using explicit language which the translators never could translate into Albanian,” says Veton Surroi, another member of the delegation.
