I don't understand why the perp took her and killed her anyway. Let us hope that she and her parents are in the arms of our Lord and they have no memories of their brutal end on this earth.

Not only should there be an automatic death penalty for anyone convicted of murdering a child, the courts should expedite the trial and appeals process such that the time from arrest to execution is measured in months, not years. Furthermore, the clincher, the trial-stopper if you will, should be DNA evidence (and any cops planting such evidence should in fairness also face mandatory death).

It's hard to stomach the thought of her killer partying on death row for twenty years.

I have 2 little girls of my own - I can not imagine the pain the families are going through.

I don't want to sound too corny - but maybe we should all do a little something special for our children to remind ourselves(and them) how special they are.

Bowman explained that he had paid a man in Virginia to move the trailer, but now the man would not do the job. Bowman then told Lemons that if the man did not move the trailer or refund his money, that "he would have to kill him."

"On Aug. 15, Lemons stopped by the rental house on Beaver Creek Road to talk to Bowman. But Bowman walked around the corner of the house holding a pistol and told the landlord that "his rent was paid and to get off his property."
