Dear Soldier of the U.S. Military:

Considering the common practice of talking about "supporting the troops" in times of hostilities, I should let you know how I feel.

With all due respect, I want you to know that if you participate in this conflict, you are not serving me, and I don't support you. Speaking for myself, I feel those who participate will be damaging my reputation as an American, and further endangering me and my children by creating hatred that will someday be returned to us -- perhaps someday soon. Your actions will not lead to a safer world, but a more dangerous world of pre-emption and unilateral decisions to commit mayhem. I don't support that.

Oh yes, and you are serving the President, of course -- the man who avoided combat duty and deserted his National Guard unit. You are serving the man who enriched himself through crony capitalism, shady accounting practices and insider trading while running multiple corporations into bankruptcy. You will be serving the man who lost the popular vote for president, but was handed the presidency by a Supreme Court influenced by his father and through voting irregularities in a state governed by his brother. You will be serving the man who, as President, turned the budget surplus into a deficit and presided over the largest stock market decline since the great depression. You will be serving the man who unilaterally withdrew from the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty, ignored the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and rejected the International Criminal Court and Kyoto Protocol on Global Warming...

I'm sorry....where were you when the WTC fell to the ground? Oh, and there was this whole Gulf War thing happening a few years back....I think that the hatred has BEEN coming to us.....provoked or not.....I'm not big on war, but I'm not one to go on slamming the President for trying to find a way to end the maddness and ensure a safe future for our children....how safe is this world with men like Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein running rampant to kill whomever they please by whatever means necessary? The biggest problem Bill Clinton had was how to redefine "sexual relations" to suit his own deviant behavior....someday we all had to move on to more disturbing problems......

If I am not mistaken, UCMJ has provisions for this behavior (and the friendly NCO's with some very effective Wall to Wall counseling could help get this fellow's perspective altered). But I am sure his fellow cadets will have a few kind words for this POS as well!

Another former M.D Captain in the Army "Reserves" assured to be recorded as an anti-war coward is David Wiggins. David began a hunger strike two weeks before his deployment to Saudi Arabia in mid-December to protest the impending war. Two weeks after arriving in the Persian Gulf, and still refusing to work or eat, the M.D couldnt hack the proclaimed hunger strike any longer [No doubt the heat was kicking his punk behind] so he went ahead and ate food and took drink then he removed his uniform and sat in an intersection on his base in Saudi Arabia.

Unfortunately....nobody ran him over.

I didn't read the full atricle and I don't want to. Did anyone think this guy is just trying to get thrown out. If you, I believe, are an officer, or are about to be, and you talk this way about the President, you will be discharged from the military. Like I said, all I read was the excerpt, but it sounds to me like this guy was looking for a free ride and now looking to get booted, all the while he can still say he was a West Pointer. I do remember a General, I believe from the Air Force who publicly criticized slick Willy and he was promptly retired.

Most of the time, the use of the word "attended" means that one did not graduate. I wonder whether or not he is, in fact, a graduate.

So you conveniently decided that you no longer believed in war after 4 years of free education thanks to the US Army and med school paid for by who? Could that be Myself and other ordinary US taxpayers? At some point in your education at West Point (maybe a tactics or strategy class) did it occur to you that the Army had a function involving breaking things and killing people? That seems a bit naive at best or just plain stupid at worst. I have a friend who was an enlisted man in the 7th ID (Infantry Division) who was fully aware by the time he left boot camp of what the specific function of his unit was. If you were a peacenik, than why did you stay at West Point? Why not leave school and finish at a non military university? My answer is you are a traitor and a coward. If you have a DD214 that shows otherwise, please present it as well as any citations. Otherwise, you are nothing more than another Hanoi Jane.

I find this guy appalling. He could have made it through (med school requires a Bachelors Degree: Somehow a BS held by this putz seems appropriate). I wonder what Army vets think. I think my grandfather would be livid. I would send this idiot's site to a few vets I know but do not want to put them in the VA with cardiac arrest.
