There are the Taliban-like Muslims. They would hate us no matter what, you are right. But most of the Muslims are not that extreme, and don't see the call to "jihad" as a call to armed struggle. They see it as an inner struggle, waged within themselves, against evil.

Point taken. What I'm saying is, I suspect Arabs aren't likely to allow themselves to be tested for HIV. And I doubt that the "human rights" mavins in the international organizations are allowed to press the issue. I suspect that HIV/AIDS is rampant in Egypt and the rest of North Africa. And considering what I've heard about the sex trade, urban Arab men are most definitely exposing themselves to the dangers.

The HIV positive numbers in most third-world countries are not the result of testing. They are estimates based on the numbers of people showing up with symptoms of AIDS. They just don't have as many people showing up with symptoms of AIDS in the Muslim countries. The differences in infection rates between Northern Africa and Southern Africa are amazing.

You need to read a few books on the history of Egypt. There was NO such tradition there until the Islamic invasion. Egypt is one of the few countries that we have clear written historical records of what it was like before and after the Islamic terror.

But I am saying that the degeneration of Western culture is hurrying up the process of radicalizing Islam. Especially in Europe, where the gay lobby runs everything. A Muslim woman takes a look at what is going on around her and thinks, I'd rather spend my life wearing a veil than have my sons turn out queer and my daughter behaving like sluts.

So the solution is for our society to become as repressed as Wahhabist Saudi Arabia? On the whole, I prefer good old American decadence.

In contemplating this return to stricter Muslim codes, I am struck by the fact that so many westerners are returning to their traditions also, either through renewed Christian practice, return to more traditional Judaism, etc. If this is part of a trend of the young becoming more religiously traditional, then it more or less proves that Islam is fundamentally a violent religion. Those returning to Christianity and Judaism are trying to develop their relationship with G-d by knowing Him and becoming better people and helping our fellow men. Islamofascists know their god by becoming worse people and killing their fellow men.

Not true. I know a man from the Christian part of Nigeria, Emmanuel Babatunde. He is Catholic, his tribe is Catholic or animist. He has written a book, Women's Rites versus Women's Rights, describing the FGM ceremonies in his tribe, in which he participated as a youngster. They were never Muslim. The practice came from the tribal belief that it would ensure fertility.
