The show starts in 15 minutes..............John must be going through final sound and makeup checks now......

I'd love to see a "walk on" by the POTUS. Unfortunately, if there is an "unscheduled" appearance, it'll probably be some jerk like Find-gold or Hitlery.

I'll skip it. I can't stand that sonovabitch, and would vote for his opponent if I had the chance, even a Rat.
To: Dan from Michigan
awwwwwwwwwwww, Dan! Ya never know, maybe, just maybe, he'll do something positive...fer a change...say, I wonder if this can be considered political speech 30 days prior to an election......rd.

HERE WE GO!

Opening skit:
iraqi state tv...the fat guy is saddam. a parody on saddam's "election". Funny: SNL is putting more truth on this election than the mainstream networks did.
To: Recovering_Democrat
Anybody remember the skit during the 2000 primaries SNL did? The one I'm thinking of included Gore, Bush, Bradley, Keyes, maybe Forbes, and definitely McCain.
McCain was experiencing his Vietnam-influenced skittishness and sat by himself eating while blindfolded (since he had became used to eating by that method). The others just mocked him.

Saddam thanks his "death squads" for all their help in getting 100% of the vote. Funny.

I live in the DC area, and it looks like the recent shooting will block the episode out. Although I haven't watched SNL for years, I was going to watch this one because I was so curious to see what kind of lame commentary McCain would try to make. As a political conservative, I must say SNL was funny when they were lampooning Reagan and the first Bush. When decided it was their duty to kiss Clinton's ass, they lost themselves.

counter: did you see the south florida video on Special Report with Brit Hume last week? Jeb vs. McBride old folks. Wild stuff.

Monologue Sucks.
To: Welsh Rabbit
The skit they did with Reagan in the oval office commanding and organizing Iran Contra in multiple languages was one of the best political satire sketches ever in my opinion...
To: Welsh Rabbit
McCain coming out for monologue, he's dressed in black suit with red power tie. Crowd going wild.
"Thanks. I'm the first sitting Senator to do the show. They asked the President to host, but apparently he doesn't work weekends." (crowd didn't really laugh too hard--)
"Someone asked me how doing this will help my constituents. I say to them what I say to everyone: "shut up Daschle, you're just jealous!"
Now the monologue is being weakened (or helped) by a goofball doing rimshots on drums.
To: Recovering_Democrat
That rimshot guy is one of the dumbest acts i have seen on SNL?

NEXT SKETCH: HARDBALL PARODY. Chris Matthews played by Darell Hammond. He's good. "Homeland Security" is the issue, they make a bad joke about the DC shootings.
McCAIN IS PLAYING JOHN ASHCROFT.
To: Recovering_Democrat
Both Baltimore and Washington DC NBC stations aren't showing SNL so their local news teams can waste time between Ashland County briefings providing no info.
