Just a friendly reminder: At 2:00 am (local time) on Sunday, 27 October 2002, turn your clocks back one hour.
This does not apply to our friends in Hawaii, most of Indiana, most of Arizona, and a few other places (you know who you are).
TOPICS: Free Republic; Miscellaneous

Just a reminder to all.
BTW: To our democrats, 2:00 am is when it is dark outside, the little hand is on "2", the big hand is on "12", and you have a hangover from your Saturday Night binging.

Another reminder to Democrats - Election Day has been changed to November 8, 2002 (source, Freeper "Trueblackman")...trust me.

And so, once again, I will be a man ahead of my time.
OK... so only 1 hour ahead, but it's better than nothing.

My grandfather never switched to daylight saving time either. He lived in Oregon and his clock was never right. Didn't seem to bother him much...

Can we turn the clock back to 1991, roll into Baghdad, and save the World a decade of islamofascism?

How come it's only ONE HOUR?? I would prefer one hour and 15 mins...it's not fair. Does the ACLU approve of only SOME people getting to keep their clocks at the same time ALL the time???

I'm from Arizona. And I don't turn my back for anyone! My understanding is that only The Navajo Nation follows the time switch, since there are parts of the HUGE reservation in FOUR different states, only one of which is ARIZONA.
Actually, it creates all manor of problems with our interaction with the rest of the country!

Daylight savings time needs to be tossed into the ash-heap of history.

How much time do we save? Where is this saved time stored?

Can we turn the clock back to 1991, roll into Baghdad, and save the World a decade of islamofascism? As long as we don't have to live with eight years of Clinton again!

Well if we had rolled into Baghdad and neutralized Iraq, maybe enough of the US voters would have stuck with Bush Sr., ignored Perot, and sent x42 and PIAPS packing back to back to Little Rock.
Imagine what might have been in the 1990s minus x42's reign of corruption, sleeze and treason. Imagine the economy rising on a firm foundation of accountability. Imagine al Qaeda being detected and irradicated before it grew in strenght. Imagine an honest partnership with Russia, that didn't allow the kleptocrats to loot the Russian economy into shambles. Imagine a China not able to buy our secrets and politicians at will. Imagine the slaughters of Haiti, Bosnia, Kosivo, Tanzenia, E. Temor not taking place because tyrants knew that we would decisively defend freedom and not vacilate on the whims of the UN.
Imagine having an effective space-based missle defense system in place and as a bonus having a low cost space launch infrastructure that allowed us to afford a space station, a thriving space tourism industry, a permanent outpost on the Moon and be in a position to send astronauts to Mars.
Sure we could do a lot of what ifs, but there are many lost opportunities of World changing proportions that didn't happen because x42 fiddled instead of doing his job.
