It would seem someone woke up, smelled the coffee, and decided the guys in the Caprice were the perps, civilian truck driver with a cell phone!
and he blocked the rest area exit with his truck while the keystone kops were enroute. And Moose was probably still steaming about the leaked plate number.

"Chief Moose and the Caprice-ignoring keystone kops strike again" - yeah, we all noticed how YOU had told everybody that the perps were two african-americans driving a chevy caprice right after the first kill. Too bad nobody listened to you and your tooth-fillings, tin-hat. You just always seem to know AFTER the fact how everybody should have done everything perfectly, if only you were running the show - AMAZING!

Saw this on the CNN site last nite and my husband said he heard about it on the radio this morning. He also heard that the 'boy' is considered to be at least 19 yrs old. Since he gradated elementary school in 1996 he is at least 19.....and it would also seem he had not much education since 8th. grade.

What's amazing is that Moooos-eau knew it was two black men over 24 hrs. before that information was released and he allowed everyone to continue looking for a white man in a white van.
To: fooman
well then, why didn't they pop 'em right then and there when they had the chance? You tell me! So much for traditional enforcement when the people involved are more afraid of sanctions that could hamper their "career" as opposed to doing what's right - shoot the SOB!

Finally, police realised the car they were looking for. But Chief Charles Moose refused to reveal the number plate. It was only when one of his team leaked it that the pair were found one-and-a-half hours later.I wonder how long they had the plate number before the leak, and the reason for witholding it.
To: secretagent
Maybe the moosie apologists can answer that.

The hindsight to all this reveals that Chief Moose decided to fight two battles. The sniper and the press. Thus loosing civilian assistance until the leaked plate number was aired and spotted.
Does that put Chief Moose as the bad guy or the press who obviously scared him into silence for one reason or another?

Yes it was the first day of killings on Oct 3rd that the Caprice was also known be the single other highly suspicious vehicle of serious consideration, but Moose chose to only emphasize white trucks and vans despite D.C. Chief Ramsey's reservations. The cops also knew for a near certainty in early October from the letter language that the sniper was a minority but Moose didn't want to "paint some group." Wake up and smell the incompetence. Word is bond, yo.

The task force detectives knew from the language used in the letters that these guys were black. See: Sniper Letter Linked to [Blacks = G-d] Movement Chief Moose, being black, was in serious denial.
To: JoeSixPack1
Well, yes, but what I meant was that someone on Moose's team leaked the plate number.
To: spycatcher
Story is that Moose was fired from his Oregon position for being a racist..........and was hired in Maryland at the behest of Janet Reno.
To: Brian Mosely
During a spot-check on October 8, he was parked and asleep at the wheel. But cops failed to look in the boot, where they would have found the Bushmaster XM15 rifle. The cops couldn't have checked the boot. There was no probable cause. Of course they could have searched the car any of the ten times but with the charge of Racial profiling or unlawful search hanging over their heads like a big iron fist I can see why they didn't. PC is going to be the death of this country if it isn't stopped..

To: twntaipan
Then you're eluding to a usurping of Chief Moose? :-)
To: fooman
I believe were lucky nobody else died with Moose at the controls. As more details surface the more incompetent he looks.Once the public were allowed details despite Moose, the suspects were arrested. The best thing about the kid being young is that he can do 50-60years in jail.
To: Brian Mosely
Looks like the Moose has some explaining to do. The Wash Post had a front page article today about the 10 times these guys were stopped and license plates run through the system. BTW, let me ask a dumb question....was is a boot (in the car)?
