On Hannity and Colmes this evening, Ann Coulter skewered the media for its bias in reporting on the sniper. She revealed that the sniper recorded his registration of his Chevrolet using the exact time on 9/11 when the attack occurred. She questioned why the media referred to him as a Gulf War veteran when he was a Muslim and that his name was legally Muhammed not Williams. She also dropped a tidbit from a man who ran a homeless shelter saying that Muhammed was the only resident he had ever encountered with a travel agent.

Not taken from tonight's show, but, WTH.......

PC respectability limits Hannity. Too bad Ann didn't use the words "liberal political correctness" in answer to Colmes.

I saw some of this and I wondered how Colmes can sleep at night. Must have a boy-friend? While Colmes is the very model of a liberal one loves to hate, he recently got married to a female of the opposite gender.

I didn't see this interview so I'm not sure of the context...but was she insinuating that because he registered his car using the time/date of the 9/11 attack that was supposed to somehow trigger some sort of check?
Also, she questioned the media for referring to him as a Gulf war veteran, when....he was a Gulf war veteran?
The media shows its bias, that's for sure, but I'm not sure I see what she was complaining about this time.

I saw some of this and I wondered how Colmes can sleep at night. He sleeps at night the way that all liberals do: no conscience and lots of "medicinals" (pot, crack, painkillers, beer, you name it...).

I agree with you, I love her columns and her directness, but she came off a little "disorganized" tonite.

The complaint is not that he is a Gulf War vet, but the emphasis is being put on his being a veteran of that war when the emphasis should be put on his religion, which is the catalyst that set him off. The media refrains from using the terms Muslim or Islam and calls him by his former name, rather than Muhammed, which is his legal name. In their eyes, a Muslim didn't commit the crimes but a Gulf War Vet did.

I'm a bit unclear on this one as well.... wasn't the Caprice registered in someone else's name (the third person that was arrested, in NYC)
She revealed that the sniper recorded his registration of his Chevrolet using the exact time on 9/11 when the attack occurred.

was she insinuating that because he registered his car using the time/date of the 9/11 attack that was supposed to somehow trigger some sort of check? I think that she felt the significance was that he sympathized with the terrorist of 9/11 - this was one of his ways of showing his support of the terrorists.
As far as the gulf war veteran comments - I don't think she denies that he was in the gulf war. She feels that his being a gulf war veteran is beside the point.
Why? His religion is of a greater significance because we already (should) know that we are in a war with Muslim extremists. In other words, his war status was not the reason for his actions, his religion/belief was.

Also, she questioned the media for referring to him as a Gulf war veteran, when....he was a Gulf war veteran? Yes he was. He was also black. He was also 41 years old. We have heard all of that but we haven't heard much about the fact that he was a convert to Islam, and had made pro-terrorist statements after 9/11. I would think that the latter would be a bit more important than the fact that he was a Gulf War veteran.
And that's what Ann was trying to get across to lame-brain Colmes. He wasn't buying, because he is too politically correct.

You are right about Hannity. There is more story here. And the mainstream media of which Hannity is becoming entrenched in, worship ratings and money which to them is one in the same. We need some foreign journalist over here to get this story right. It took Ambrose Evans-Pritchard to shed the light on the OKC bombing. I suspected from the beginning that the shootings had the purpose of diverting law enforcement assets in the DC area away from significant terrorists targets so that Islamic terrorists could make a bigger strike. Just because there was not a bigger strike does not mean that they were not being used for diversion. The terrorist network is very smart and very patient and may have been unable to execute their larger plan. These two idiots were not in that loop. But it sure looks like they had some handlers. It is much like the American assassinations, employ crazies handle them and use them and keep them ignorant so when they are eventually caught it is difficult to trace them to their handlers. These boys were crazies, but they sure did travel smoothly around the country apparently without much in the means of monetary support. There is much more story here, but who will ask the questions and demand the answers?

You don't understand. Mr. Williams must be, like, a Christian white supremacist. I know, 'cause Katie Couric told me so.

Yes he was. He was also black. He was also 41 years old. I agree, his race and age haven't been reported as you say. However, those are pretty self evident to anyone who's seen a picture of this individual. A picture can't tell other things about him, such as the fact that he was a Gulf War veteran. The fact that he was a veteran has significance only in that it tells us that he could have had more experience with weapons than the average Joe. (even if he wasn't a decorated combat soldier.)
