Thanks for the information on the polls before Kenndy's death. However, the facts aren't as germaine as the perception and the take-no-chances situation at the time. If the mafia and JEH were indeed after RFK through JFK, then the political situation may not have been as urgent at that time since LBJ would be in the drivers seat (as President) anyway. Yet, if JFK were still around LBJ, as VP, would not be challenging him anyway so the circumstances for LBJ remain intact.

I've seen pictures of the "magic bullet". There is no way that THAT bullet did the damage they say it did. It's too pristine. Besides, there was more lead left behind in Connally's wrist that was missing from the "magic bullet".

Once you refute the magic bullet, the rest of the lone gunman theory becomes an impossibility.

I believe that Oswald was indeed a patsy, but even if he did pull a trigger, he wasn't alone.

Besides Teddy, I'd say their reign was cut a little short...

Yup, I've been there too, and seen the ghoulish vultures circling the over the carcass that the plaza has become.

Your simplistic reply is a case in point. The "facts" of the "magic bullet" have been so distorted that a lot of people who get their history from Oliver Stone don't know the truth. The position of both JFK's and Connolly's bodies, as well as the relative locations of the seats they were in are misrepresented in diagrams a shown in Mr. Stone's opus to make the bullet look like it had to behave more strangely than it really did.

Whoever killed JFK has been able to sustain a decades-long coverup.

But you *presume* the existence of a cover-up. That is not how you start. Shooter is correct, you must start with the crime itself.

I can refute the "solution" in two words: Magic Bullet

That's not much of a refutation. It is only a demonstration that you, like many people, know little about the actual evidence.

A fellow named Posner wrote a book and did a documentary, called Final Evidence I think, that used computer animation to prove the magic bullet theory and settle the issue once and for all.

Posner wrote a book called "Case Closed". He didn't do an animation.

Dale Myers created a computer animation called "Secrets of a Homicide" in which he physically modeled Dealey Plaza and the limo with its occupants in precise detail. It was not superimposed.

As the drama moved toward the magic moment of the bullet striking, with everyone concentrating on the animation, the position of the bodies in the film no longer corresponded with their position in the animation.

This is completely false. You are imagining something that didn't happen.

The bullet wasn't "Pristine" to use the wrong term. It's completely flatten on the side. The bullet actually started out as a 161 grain bullet, which accounts for the lead in the wrist and thigh.

The bullet was designed and functioned to go through a late 19th Century soldier, his equipment and possibly through the soldier behind. It was a round nosed bullet and when it finally hit Conelly's rib, that was the only bone it had hit on the way through the two men. If you doubt this, take a canned ham, place it front of you and have someone take a C&R Carcano rifle and have him shoot the ham. Have the shooter report back of your demise. The bullet, if it doesn't hit any bone also won't have too many marks on it.

the chance of another Kennedy achieving the presidency no longer seems inevitable. A promise unfulfilled

Well, at least we have the Bush family to carry the torch. In fact, the Bush dynasty has already eclipsed in achievement in the past 15 years what the Kennedys have done in the past 60. And for the Bushes, the best is yet to come.

I mean, after JFK and RFK, what did we have? A bunch of womanizing, dimwitted, inebriated drug and alcohol abusers. None of them rising above the level of mere congressman (Teddy got his senate seat when JFK was still alive).

I always did like JFK, though I am too young to remember him. He was probably the last Democrat president that actually liked America and wasn't a damn socialist.

I've seen pictures of the "magic bullet". There is no way that THAT bullet did the damage they say it did. It's too pristine.

The pictures selected in conspiracy books are usually carefully selected to show a view with the least damage. It was not pristine. It was seriously damaged, and the damage is perfectly consistent with the circumstances in this case.

Besides, there was more lead left behind in Connally's wrist that was missing from the "magic bullet".

This is a myth.

Once you refute the magic bullet, the rest of the lone gunman theory becomes an impossibility.

And in 39 years it has not been refuted.

From Conspiracy of One, by Jim Moore, page 171: "Despite the hue and cry to the contrary, all of the metal left in Connelly could easily be accounted for by the two grains missing from 399". (Exhibit 399, the bullet in question.)

The so called "magic bullet" is indeed flattened on the end and "squished" along the length, though most photos of it in the conspiracy nut books show it rotated to make it look more pristine. How do you explain the fact that the wound in Connally's back was oblong, which was proof that the bullet was tumbling when it struck him?

The last democrat president they can at least pretend was a success. LBJ, Viet Nam Jimmy Carter, Gas Lines, double digit inflation, Iran... Willard, I don't have enough time to even start a list.

Uffda! Good ones.....and as far as JFK goes, I didn't need to go much beyond the pharmacology report - literally, a walking drugstore.

You recite the facts well. It's a shame so many people have been duped by the likes of Mark Lane and David Lifton. One only need to look at the OJ trial to see how a huckster can fool some of the people all of the time by obfuscation, and focusing on the irrelevant.

Don't forget Chicago boss, Sam Giancana, who's mob came up with enough "votes" to give Illinois to Kennedy in 1960. and who later shared a mistress with JFK.

By using the computer animations and angles, they were able to trace the origin of the two bullets to within nine feet of the sixth floor window. I think the makers of the video really made a mistake in using VHS. It would have been a great computer program.

On another note, I noticed that if a person can't offer the definition of the word "Pristine" in pertaining to the bullet, I know they never read the report.

I was at Dealy Plaza a couple of months ago and plan on going tomorrow to watch the tin hat crowd.

Tomorrow is the start of the annual JFK Lancer conference in Dallas.

Er...um....when Jack Ruby shoots you in the gut and you die, the tinfoil coverup dies also. JFK's sole killer died right here:
