From the story header: A little boy left home alone with his younger sister sets himself on fire. Now the family's torn apart.

Ah, this is a different recent incident, not the one in which four children died in a fire and the mother "escaped."

Let me take a wild guess...mother is on "public" assistance and the two fathers were "just getting their lives together."

What a sad statement on our society. How many other mothers are doing the same and not getting caught?

Having a six year old and an eight year old, I just can't imagine leaving them home alone for 2 minutes, let alone 25. I often have to take them out for food and such, we go through the shoe drill, the coat drill, etc, and all go. Its not like you have to carry the kids on your back for the whole trip, they can actually walk.

IMVHO she ought to be in jail for a few months. Not that jail time will do this lame brain much good.

"I was only gone for, like, 25 minutes to go get my kids something to eat," explained Ashley Guillory.

I suppose it was just too much trouble to take the kids along.

Or, maybe it's undesirable to have a couple little kids in tow when planning to make a good first impression on the next whoremong-- er, I mean, eligible bachelor.
