TEHRAN -- Muslim across the world held massive rallies on the International Day of Qods to protest the occupation of Al-Qods by the Zionist regime. Ralliers in Tehran also on Friday renewed their support for the oppressed Palestinian nation and condemned Zionist carnage, branding the entity as standard-bearer of state terrorism.
The ralliers of the International Day of Qods called for trial of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and other criminal Israeli rulers at a war crimes tribunal, saying it would be the first step for campaign against hegemony and crimes of the Qods occupying regime.
Their issued resolution also said that repatriation of all Palestinians, referendum and establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Qods being its capital are the requisites for settlement of the Palestinian problem.
In addition it blasted the recent measure taken by the U.S. Congress in announcing the holy Qods as capital of the Qods occupying regime.
It condemned any sort of army build-up against Muslim states, including Iraq, asking Muslim heads of state, the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) in particular, to hold extraordinary meetings and adopt revolutionary and concrete measures to deter the U.S. and its allies from waging a war and raise solidarity among Muslim ummah.
President Mohammad Khatami on Friday urged international community, especially the institutions authorized by the UN, to take fundamental steps to repel aggression and occupation and help the restoration of peace and calm in the Middle East.
President Khatami in a message on the International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian People, designated by the UN, voiced support for any practical action that would guarantee basic rights of oppressed Palestinian people.
Khatami said Palestinian people are in need of persistent and immediate support by international community to defuse Israeli aggressions and attacks and regain their undeniable rights, especially the right to decide their fate.
The message said the International Day of Solidarity With Palestinian Nation, designated by the UN, provides a suitable opportunity to take necessary actions in the case of Palestine, admit a role to the international community to find a fair solution to the dangerous crisis and stress the need for restoration of all the rights of Palestinian nation.
It said the International Day of Solidarity With Palestinian Nation, designated by the UN, would provide a proper opportunity to pay attention to grave and deplorable condition of the oppressed Palestinian nation.
The president said that unfortunately, the land of Palestine has for more than half a century been subject to heinous daily aggressions, occupation and crimes and regional citizens have been victims of ceaseless and inhumane attacks only because of defending their patriotic lands.
The deplorable conditions over recent years have been stepped up as Israel took September 11 incidents in the U.S. as an advantage to suppress the legitimate and internationally recognized demands of the Palestinian people, read the message.
Barbaric attacks on Jenin Refugee Camp and other Palestinian inhabited regions, massacre of children, women and citizens, economic blockade, military attacks on sacred Islamic and Christian centers, offensives on public centers and institutions, affiliated to the Palestinian Authority and confinement of Palestinian leaders to their bases are parts of Israels inhumane measures over the past one year.
Such measures run counter to the internationally recognized regulations and are in blatant violation of the UN approvals, indicating the fact that Israeli officials do not honor international communitys endeavors to stop occupation and tension, read the message.
It said the tragedy had not only aggravated condition in the sensitive Middle East region, but also jeopardized international peace and security Fifty-four pupils from Tehran schools staged a rally in front of the UN representation office here on Friday urging UN Secretary General Kofi Annan to set up an international tribunal to put Zionist leaders on trial for charges of crimes against humanity.
The pupils, who were holding the rally to mark the International Day of Solidarity With Palestinians, in a statement called on Annan to make immediate efforts to stop the killings of Palestinian children.
Let the Zionists know that as long as there exists a freedom-loving human being in the world, they can never escape the grip of justice, read part of the statement.
The pupils said they, on behalf of all Iranian pupils, call on the UN secretary general to punish the Zionist regime for carrying out genocide on Palestinian children.
They further regretted the fact that Palestinian children currently have to struggle for their right to self-determination, the right to live, the right to receive education, and the right to enjoy freedom.
Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani also thanked the Iranian nation for their high turnout on International Day of Qods rallies, the exercise whose observation was called 24 years ago by founder of the Islamic Republic and father of the Islamic Revolution the late Imam Khomeini.
The head of the Expediency Council denounced indifference of the world public opinion towards crimes committed by the Zionist regime, saying the Wests conscience does not react to the issue despite publication of photos and films on Israelis crimes.
He was also critical of certain Muslim states for refusing to take proper action against Israeli crimes due to their strong ties with the United States.
Its a matter of surprise that certain Muslim states assume the U.S. is their savior angel, he said.
Palestine is the most important Islamic concern today, and furthermore, the mother of all issues in the contemporary world, concluded Rafsanjani.
Rafsanjani also said that the architects of the Zionism-Christianity coalition plan to bring about a big rift in Iran and to make deeper the gap between seminaries and universities.
They want to alienate the Iranian youth from the revolution and they have of course failed in all their conspiracies, said Rafsanjani.
Rafsanjani advised the nation, particularly the youth, to be vigilant and not to show simplistic attitudes toward such sensitive matters.
He recommended the youth to ponder on the reason the West has geared up all its facilities, including radio and TV, satellite, film industry and press, to launch wide-scale publicity against the brave Iranian nation.
He warned against any move that would please sinister goals of the arrogance and deviate the youth.
All (Iranians) should be vigilant and alert; and now I do not want to support or reject any particular party, said the Friday prayer leader. He meanwhile hoped he would not, God forbid, witness any bad and dirty conflicts in the future that would favor and please the enemy.
The influential Iranian official advised setting aside all differences in the face of Americans military buildup in the region. He lauded the (mobilization) Basij Week and said Basijis would foil the enemies hostilities as was indicated in recent incidents.
Rafsanjanis reference was obviously to Basijis demonstration against recent riots, sparked by a death sentence issued against university professor, Dr. Hashem Aghajari, by a court in Hamedan on charges of defamatory and sacrilegious claims against the Prophet (S).
Replace "Qods" with "Marklar" and this will make just about as much sense.
KYLE (speaking in Marklar's language): ...I think I can explain this whole thing. Marklar, these marklars want to change your marklar. They don't want this marklar or any of these marklars to live here, because it's bad for their marklar. They use marklar to try and force marklars to believe their marklar. If you let them stay here, they will build marklars and marklars. They will take all your marklars and replace them with marklar. So, they must come here, to Marklar. Please, let these marklars stay where they can grow and prosper, without any marklars, marklars, or marklars!
MARKLAR: Young marklar, your marklars are wise and true.
