I believe the Hildabeast came out against SDI due to her belief that it wasn't technically feasible. If she were rifht in that case WHAT THE HELL DOES SHE AN AIRLINER COULD DO TO PROTECT ITSELF.

The woman is an opportunist who will say and do anything to advance her career.
