So, as usual, the elites are exempt from the law. Grrrrrrrrr.....if I lived in NYC.......
Wonderful Heh?
He passed the stupid ban claiming it was to protect the health of workers (whether they wanted to be protected or not)yet apparently if the workers work for his friends it's OK to harm them.
Also in response to complaints of Bodega owners who are going out of business due to the decline of cigarette sales because of his tax.
"I just find it inconceivable that you could equate people's lives - particularly children that buy cigarettes in bodegas - with a minor economic issue."
Yet when Marriott Marquis holds a function "where the public is invited for the primary purpose of promoting and sampling tobacco products" he has no problem
So he has utter contempt and no problem when "Mom & Pop" bodegas go out of buisness but he throws in a loophole to protect his cronies at the well to do Marriott Marquis.
And I like how he calls smokers stupid & Crazy yet he still wants us to come with our "Fat Wallets" to his city.
Election day 2005 can't come soon enough.

Rudy, you rejected the Arab prince's money contribution after 9/11. You should also reject on principle Bloomin' Idiot's exemption for the cigar afficionados smoke-fests and stay away from the shows. Unless, of course, you agree with the smoking ban impacting the common man but exempting the elite. But I won't hold my breath till you do, cough, cough, gasp, gasp.
