FBI Looking for Five Illegal Immigrants

WASHINGTON –– The FBI said Sunday it is looking for five men of Arab ancestry who may have entered the country illegally last week.

The agency said the five men are believed to have arrived in the United States on or before Christmas Eve.

The five men are: Abid Noraiz Ali, Iftikhar Khozmai Ali, Mustafa Khan Owasi, Adil Pervez and Akbar Jamal, all born between 1969 and 1983. The FBI warned that the names and birth dates may be false.

The FBI said it had no indication the men were linked to terrorist activities, but still wanted to question the five "based upon information developed in the course of ongoing investigations."

The FBI said it was working with the Customs, Immigration and Naturalization Service and the Transportation Security Agency to find the men.

There is a trial going on in Buffalo for six men who attended one of bin Laden's training camps.

They were arrested when one of them turned them in.

"Alwan admitted attending the camp and has implicated his co-defendants. He has said he left the Al Farooq camp, near Kandahar, because he did not share its organizers' extremist views and missed his family. Alwan is married with two sons and a daughter."---Source.

Wasn't it the Canadian government that a few weeks ago warned its Islamic citizens about possible "discrimination" when entering America, and urged them not to visit the U.S. because the U.S. - not terrorism - was "dangerous"?

I'd like to propose a theory that the men came in from Canada into Maine. It is extremely easy to cross the border undetected here. The FBI themselves say that Maine is an area to watch as far as terrorist traffic is concerned.

It could be as simple as that, that it's easy pickings in Maine. And wasn't M. Atta caught on video at a Maine airport on 911? I'm probably remembering incorrectly, but it was in New England, I'm sure of that much.

Wow! Sorry I have been gone, my husband had to use the computer, so I was relegated to (shudder) housework! Ha!

All Arabic names are phonetically spelled in the language of the tranlating country. What we would need to know is if the names Chowdry, Chowdary, etc. are all transcriptions of the SAME name in Arabic. I don't know anyone who speaks Arabic on this site, or I would flag them.

It seems likely to me that this is more than coincidence. Especially since the name "Butt" also appears. I wonder what happened to those 3 medical students?

Because it is not PC. that's why. Nothing will ever be done, EVER. The gubs are too afraid of making some group mad, or afraid they will not get their vote. TO HELL WITH THAT, this is a matter of life or death and it is getting very serious.

Glad to post it Miss Marple. I would have posted it late last night/early this morning, but we had just returned from being at relatives for several days and I was really tired. And after seeing the name Butt in the one article, and knowing that one of the Florida three had that name, I knew it was going to take a few minutes to pull it all together.

I am inclined to think though that it is an odd coincidence, to have the two names resurfacing.

No, you're absolutely right about that. Atta came through Portland, Maine. Some of us speculate that he might have holed up with someone there before taking his flight. Portland, like Lewiston now, has a growing third world Muslim population. Perfect place for him to hide out for a couple of days, you know?

Maine is such easy pickings, it is scary. If you ask me, borders with Canada should have as much scrutiny as the Mexican borders (which don't have much anyway). With all the attention focused on the Mexican border right now, it is so much easier for these people to slip through the Canadian border.
