Suing the gunmaker is stupid, but I'm not so sure about the gunshop owner. This gun evidently went missing without anyone noticing. Don't they do an inventory of the guns in their shop? Was the gun ever reported missing and how long was it missing? There may have been some negligence at the store or it may have been outright criminal conduct by one of the employees of the store. Did someone falsified the inventory records? Was there an under-the-counter sell of a rifle by an employee or the owner?
I don't think these families are really trying to find out what happened, just going after the deep pockets.

Suing the gunmaker is stupid>I think they just like saying "Bushmaster". Didn't their owner run W's campaign in Maine? I know some idjit was making hay out of it during the 2000 campaign.

The problems in the gun store should be addressed as if these two wacky muslim murderers had never started their crime spree. This should be handled in the same way that any other inspection that caught problems would be handled.
The two things are not related in any way.
Stay safe; stay armed.
